I was researching satellite systems earlier today and ran across this unit. Was wondering if anyone out there has any knowledge or used this before. Seems like a decent alternative to a roof mount or tripod (although it could be used in that fashion also). http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/parts/t...

Yesterday, I visited our local AT&T store to inquire about Internet Air Cards. Well, I wasn't met with any encouragement at all. First the CR told me that if I was going to do anything besides just check my e-mail, like surf or download music, it wouldn't work. I told him we probably wouldn't be do...

Hope I posted this in the right place... I know there will be at least one cable from the satellite dish into the 5er. I have heard that some people run it through a window, etc. and that there is a kit to mount on the exterior of the 5er to plug the cable in. How do you folks do it? Looking for for some methods...

Wasn't quite sure how to word the topic. We're looking at trading from our 5th wheel to a MH. In the meantime we plan to hit the road in our 5th wheel. One of the things we'd like to have in our next rv is a roof mounted satellite. However, one of the complaints people have is that they can't get reception...

Hi all ... newbie here (don't ALL sigh at once ... you might upset the balance of the Earth, and that's bad for all of us). Buying a new 5th wheeler (see signature) and will also be boondocking. So ... the very least I would need is a generator. Why would I need a $2,000 generator as opposed to a $1,000 genera...

So this afternoon I have been working on setting up our HughesNet system. Fine. Got a signal of 29 and couldn't go any higher. Needed at least 31. Silly me, wrestled with elevation, etc. etc. until I finally gave up a bit ago. DUH. If I had looked in the manual (yet again) I would have noticed tha...

Hello, We just got our fifth wheel a month ago in Ohio and we live in Canada. When we piked it up on june 26th we stayed on a camping close to the dealer for 5 days to take care of small issues. I am about to spring for the Motorola Droid with Verizon. I know Verizon supports their own tethering for $15 a month with 5 GB limit which is in addition to their $30 a month unlimited data plan that you must buy with the phone. Verizon is selling the Motorola Droid for $199.99 with 2 yr contract or contract extension. Granted I think they are offering a Buy One, Get One Free deal.
