Looks interesting, especially if you are going to use it mainly in a car. I have no experience with that amp, but the wattage is the max.

My concern would be the antennas, plus the cable length, if you were going to permanently mount it in a 5er or MH. You will need a longer cable for most circumstances, unless it is just in a car. The antennas are not near as good as the Wilson Trucker.

However, for use in the car, it looks OK. Call Primecellular and ask them their opinion. They know their stuff pretty well.

You could add the regular Wilson trucker antenna (the tall one) or the short one (RV SKU: 301119) to the RV and still be about the same or less money. And use the mag antenna on the toad/tow vehicle. But, again, I have no experience with the quality of that amp.

Looks like a pretty good deal. That was not an option on the website when I bought our stuff. Keep in mind that this amplifier is not a Wilson which, as far as I can tell, is the leader in these amplifiers and antennas. Of course I have nothing to back that up other than what I have read from other RVers.

The Prime Cellular folks are very helpful, so I agree that a phone call to them will help you compare. The one thing that intrigues me on the product you mention is this statement "(Now operates on only 6V for cooler, more reliable operation)". Our Wilson amplifier gets VERY hot, so that peaked my curiousity. Has someone been complaining about them getting hot? Why would they include that statement in the ad? Hmmm.

The Wilson Trucker antenna should give you better reception than the magnet mount antenna. We have both and use the magnet mount on the truck as we drive. We put the Trucker antenna (which is quite a bit larger even though it's hard to tell in the pictures on the website) on the top of the fifth wheel ladder when we park. We just transfer the amplifier back and forth.

So, even if you go with the less expensive package, I would still recommend getting the Trucker antenna too for the top of your rig. The set-up has really helped our reception in the rural areas we visit.
