Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Crockpot recommendations

I want to thank everyone for all your input when I was looking for a toaster oven.  I bought a Breville and I love it!  I use it almost every day.  Now I need a smaller crockpot.  I have had mine for years and it was great for a family of 4, but now that it is just the two of us, it is too big.  Looking for something dependable and works great in an RV.  Not quite sure what quart size I need for two people.  Thanks in advance for the help.

There are several available on Amazon.  Biggest thing you want for the RV is a locking lid.  We brought our oval 6 quart from the S&B, as we were thinking of potluck situations.  if we are just using it for the two of us, we make enough for that meal and have leftovers for another meal. Crockpot brand has a red one that would look perfect in your rig!  :). That is the one we have, and we love it.  We purchased ours at Meijer.

I was looking for an appliance a few months ago. I love my Breville toaster oven and use it almost daily, but when the weather is hot, I want another option. Found the "instant pot" on Amazon. It is a pressure cooker/slow cooker/rice cooker all in one with an option of sautéing in it also. I have used it numerous times and love it. My husband doesn't care for "crockpot" meals, but when I used the slow cooker option, he raved about the meal and thought I had cooked it on the stove. The Instant pot has soup, grains, chili, beans, meats and I forget what else as built in cooking choices.

I was in the same situation with a crockpot. I ended up with this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003UCG8II/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This is a 3 quart which seems like the perfect size for just the 2 of us (not too big and not too small).  It also fits very nicely in the pot closet.

We bought a 4 qt crockpot and have found it's a great size for the RV. Don't forget to use the crockpot liners to make clean up a breeze!!
