Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

They are posting actual speeds.. Then then call , they get reset.. Millincom starts the month over for them.. and they start again.. All new.. within the last week or so..
... interesting, I still wonder where they are surfing...
I've set up the verizon w/ 10gb for now.. That will take me a couple weeks, I bet.. Alot of traveling in the next too weeks.. Not much internet needed.. Will keep a line on the outcome of Millenicom...

Oh,and how is the LG G3?
I am also thinking that instead of the jet-park, which does NOT have great accounting and internal stuff, of going for a different router.
Remember, I have the great number of devices, that I want to be on my internal network that does NOT have to change, when I change my data source or add a second source.

There is a reason Millenicom is cheaper, and a reason, Verizon allows them to resell some kind of verizon services..
I can think of two reasons off the top of my head,... just like utilities, large consumers of power get to buy their electricity at lower rates than us lowly homeowners or apartment dwellers. And second, have you seen any TV or radio or other media advertisements for Millenicom? I will wager that Millenicom buys in bulk and redistributes per Verizon rules passing most of the savings on to it's customers and not having a huge ad budget sure lowers their expenses allowing savings that, in part, can be passed on to customers. Millenicom does not have a huge customer support infrastructure like Verizon does either.
As to speed, it has also been reported on here by many, that for the most part, speeds are very close.
If you are happy with Verizon so far, as are we... Congrats. But we will consider Millenicom when our time to go FT draws near for the very reasons it seems highly recommended on here.

We have the minimum GB plan on Verizon. We've had Millenicom for a couple of months and not had a problem. If I'm not getting a good signal on the Jetpack I'm not getting one on my phone either. Verizon's 10 GB plan is too expensive for us. We're always flirting with the 10GB ceiling. I would rather pay less for 20 GB at Millenicom than more for 10 GB at Verizon and not have to worry about hitting the 10 GB limit and then call Verizon to change data plans.

Agreed.. But that is my point.. some say it's great.. some say it stinks.. Depends on this.. depends on that.. Have you heard anything like that with verizon ? Nope..
Actually, even Verizon bogs down occasionally... come to think of it, even our Comcast "Blast Plus" slows once in a while. It happens...

We find few rv parks with good wifi. It works good early in the morning when everyone but us are asleep. During the day not much better than dialup.

No matter the provider or plan used, or phone used, if the tower is overloaded with data, your upload and download speeds will suffer. Quartsite in January is an example, or any large metro area.
