Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
OK, I think enough of have benefited from Cherie and Chris' knowledge, willingness to share, etc. that we owe them a huge THANKS!! Not sure what is going on with them today, saw a couple of Facebook posts that indicate someone out there is being extremely critical and mean spirited. They need a virtual hug from those of us who appreciate their efforts and contribution to all of us FT RV'ers out there!!
I very much appreciate their efforts to keep those of us who are "technology challenged" educated on those type things. I have read some of their blog and website and have learned a lot! I also LOVE the new website RVillage! Can't wait to use it out on the road to meet up with fellow RV'ers out there! Thanks guys!
Its those like Cherie and Chris and Howard and Linda that pave the way for the rest of us!!!!!
Many lessons learned from them have made better days for all of us.
A BIG Thank you....and of course....A H a Pp Y Dance for a job well done!!!
What he said!
Indeed, a huge thank you!
There is always a small percentage of the population no matter where you are or what you do; they seem to want to "Pee" in someones corn flakes!!! We just have to consider the sources. Yeah! What most have said!!!

Someone on the internet being "being extremely critical and mean spirited"? No, it can't be true! I am not on Facebook, but see this kind of behavior all the time in other places.
Anyway, I do appreciate Cherie and Chris and wish them all the best. Unfortunately trolls and short-sighted people who shoot the messenger, are one hazard of the internet.

Thank you Dale & Ruth for starting this, and thank you to all who have left a comment of gratitude.
Yes.. we've reached our edge after months of very intense workloads, and the pressure has been boiling over. Add to it approaching the 1 year anniversary of my dad's passing. It's been a tough week for us, and a few too many negative comments due to frustrations around the Millenicom announcement that were very difficult to deflect because of our exhaustion levels.
Anyway.. now that we've totally rocked our launch role with RVillage, we're stepping back from the interwebs and taking a break. First, to focus on finishing up our next mobile app - and then to reground, and recharge. We're long overdue.
Thanks Ruth for starting this. Cherie and Chris share generously of their knowledge and research to our community. Besides they're warm, original, & fun to meet up with when you happen to be in the same area.
Sherry

I hope you know we love you guys Cherie and Chris. My husband is an uber technology geek...I say this with love and he has the highest standards when taking technical advice from anyone and he absolutely loves your site. Sent me to it before we ever found Howard and Linda. Me I love you video blogs because your both in them and you are exceptionally real. One of the tough things about not being fake is it hurts a little more when people are critical...but you have remained true to yourselves and that matters more than anything else imho.

Well said Trace.
Not only are Chris and Cherie brilliant techies and wonderful champions of our community, but they are also sharp enough to recognize when they need to take a break and recharge. With all I learn from them in other areas, I'm sure it will do me well to remember to do this too!!
One of the great things about this great virtual world we live in is the opportunities such as this forum....opportunities to share and learn and connect with other like-minded people..... Technomadia, along with Howard and Linda and many others have put themselves out there and shared their life publicly. For this, I am very, very grateful. Technomadia's blog was one of the first blog I found, and via that, found this site. I know being "out there" makes one a target for criticism and negative comments, but realize those are the minority....and regardless whatever you do, there will be someone who finds fault in it.
If people didn't share their information, I can honestly say I don't think we would be doing this. Thanks to all--Technomadia especially--who put themselves out there!!
I too am appreciative for all you do to help the community! I just bought both of your apps as a token of my appreciation, and would recommend that others do the same. I hope to use them extensively next year when we launch. Hope to cross paths some day!
Roy
