Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Looks like we sold the house! We are suppose to close on 3/17. We could have closed sooner, but we signed up to chaperone the daughter's choir trip to Disney World over Spring Break. We decided it would be easier to wait until after we return. But the goal is in sight! So excited!
Congrats on selling your house! Hope all goes smoothly for you!
Have a great time in Disney! We went twice with our kids when they were in Marching Band - it was a great experience for them to march down Main Street, USA in Magic Kingdom! Don't know you at all, but a Mom who had gone before suggested I bring tissues, and I needed them! I was so filled with pride!
Last March on Spring Break we took our little travel trailer and camped for the week. It was cramped and cold, but none of us wanted to come home! That's when we started this journey. So I guess it's fitting that it's happening now, one year later. We will be static for awhile. Bre will be a senior next year. But when school is out, we are on the road. I think she's more excited than my husband and I are!
Congratulations on the sell of the S&B!! Its great to hear your daughter is so supportive and excited for you both. That says tons about how she was raised which is a feather in your cap!

Congrats. We are still painting, having the rec room in basement carpeted Monday. Then on to cleaning closets and getting rid of stuff. The biggest hurdle is if it EVER WARMS UP A LITTLE !!. Last night below 0 again and tonight snow returns. We plan to list the house in March. Buying a house just isn't happening much this cold winter around here in the Milwaukee area. We have hope for a better March.

Congrats on the sale of the house! I think that is the biggest hurdle/worry we face as we head into this last year before launch. Do you aleady have the RV and plan to live in it while Bre finishes school? I'm especially curious as our youngest graduates next June as well and we are trying to figure out when to list the house and buy the motorhome. Housing sales are moving in our area and there have been only a few on the market. Values are expected to increase another 8% by the end of the year but I've noticed more for sale signs popping up in neighboring areas......as is always the case, timing is everything.
Do you have a driveway to stay in or will you be in a park? Are you going to take some trips during school breaks? Are either of you still working?
Thanks in advance and apologies if I'm asking for information you've posted before .
Jodee, Thanks to you and everyone for the good wishes! Max and I are both retired. Bre is a Junior in HS this year and we plan on staying here until she is finished school. She is planning on attending our local community college for 2 years while she decides what she wants to do. So we will be here for awhile. During school breaks and summers we will travel. We don't have our RV yet but have put a deposit on it until we close on the house. Bre will have her own room and a full bath! We will be staying in a park right outside of town. The surveyor was here yesterday and the inspection is next week. We are more excited about selling the house and getting the RV than going to Disney World during Spring Break!! Ann
Sorry to go off topic but you asked...in HS our school had an award winning choir but they were short of tenors. The choir master learned that whatever came in my ears went out my loud mouth! So he placed me in the back row between the two boy tenors and he got a third tenor. The guys and I had a blast back there in practice and the choir master didn't do anything to us because he needed us so badly for competitions. Don't think I've ever laughed so much in my life.
