Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Sunday afternoon 5:00 pm. Dreading going to work tomorrow. Its bad when you are just wishing it was time to retire. 2 years 7 months and a few days. Brand new dually, new 5th wheel ready to go. We are ready to get out and have some fun and meet some new people. Guess I could always quit early and go to work guarding gates in the oil patch.

We know exactly how you feel! We have the new dully, the new 5er all ready to go with the house selling in the Spring. The prospect of facing work - especially in our Upstate snowy NY area's long winter - is dreadful! I believe it is a sign of resignation and separation from the life you want to leave. We are not retiring, we are just changing lifestyle. But still, every Sunday evening we are sharing your sentiments! Hang in there Dreamer!

I had to pull off the road and park it........I go by it and just look as my mind wanders off to where we could be.....the first snow has come.....as I run back and forth to the doctors I sometimes stop and get in and fire it up.
I move it between the hospital parking lot and several large grocery stores in the area to keep it safe while we wait...............each time I plan to go something else goes wrong and I end up waiting.
I go to the federal courthouse in the morning for the gentlemans sentencing ,he will get 40 years.......Im still trying to fatham how someone who was only passing thru my life for one hour could turn it so far upside down and change it in every way....
33 of us will pay for his mistake here ......47 thru out the country
I now have to stay til mid February if they dont get it all together by then .....Im gone , I will head south and find at least a warmer climate to play the waiting game !!!
Live , Breathe, Relax......you only pass this way once in life and each moment is worth looking at!!!!

First, on the original topic - I do not have to go to work tomorrow, but hubby does and I am so sad he has to go! It has been very nice having him home for these past few days! Can't hardly wait until I have him all to myself all the time in our new home on the road!
Mike - I do not know anything about what the story is behind what is going on with you, but please know you will be in my thoughts and prayers!
Well, at least we have the dream to keep us going another day!
Mike: We are in KS (one of the states involved) and we remember hearing the "situation" that you appear to be describing. We will keep you in my thoughts and prayers also.
I am with you Steve & Kathy!!!!! We just need to sell our farm which is the hold up. Although I do have 3 left over wedding until June of 2014, I am hoping the house sells in mid-spring. We will buy the rig then and be on our way. In the meantime I am purging the house and it feel so good. "What the H**l did I ever need all this stuff for?" Most of the items I have not even touched in years. We are donating our Christmas Tree and ornaments to a needy family and that feels good. They pick it up today. We are just going to have a little table top tree for the holidays.
To Mike: I know nothing of your situation, but my best wishes are with you and remember this too shall pass and you will be on the road before you know it!
I heard on the news today that he got 39 years. Being "in the business" of law enforcement but not as an officer, I regularly see situations where criminals get out sooner. In Oklahoma, for instance, there are certain crimes that are called "85% sentences" in which the criminal has to spend 85 percent of their sentence in prison. Any idea whether your state has similar requirements in sentencing?
Second question: Now that sentencing is done, will you still get to go south soon or do you have to wait for more medical events?
Hope you can go to warmer climates soon.
Terry

Mike,
Yeah, I saw a blurb on AOL about the guy's sentencing. Forty years is not even enough. He even got all whiney about about his drug and alcohol problems trying to get some sympathy.
Time to forget about that and put it behind you...onward and upward...or southward!!
