Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We bought our 2007 Phaeton 40QSH new and it has been very good to us. Very trouble free and reliable.
We have spent many great weekends in it and lived in in twice while building 2 new homes and now have lived in it 16 months this stretch, the last 12 months traveling.
We have done some great mod’s to make it fit our needs, solar, bigger better house batteries, MCD shades, a custom computer desk, newer bigger better TV’s ect. But things change!! Because we plan to travel fulltime and travel for some time yet we decided it was time to make a change. And even though we have always been happy with Tiffin and figured going to another seemed obvious we spent the last few months researching many other brands.
We narrowed it down to Entegra or Winnebago Tour 42QD or a Tiffin 42LH. We of course were hoping a good used unit that had the floor plan we wanted would pop up but no such luck LOL!! So,,, we made a purchase yesterday of a 2014 Tiffin 42LH.
It will go in for PDI Monday and we should be doing the switch mid week. Then they will take our solar system, lifeline house batteries (we will buy 2 new ones to make it 6), Progressive hard wired EMS system and Air Force 1 braking system off of our 2007 and install them on the new rig. We will also take our Tempurpedic mattress (even though it is a Queen) and put it in the new rig as well as our Lazy Boy recliner and the air mattress and stock euro recliner will remain with the dealer. I wouldn’t doubt that we will be tied up here at Lazy Days in Seffner through Thanksgiving but that’s OK. Of course I know this hasn’t happened until pictures are posted so they will be coming later.
Hey,,, it was time for new tires and wiper blades anyway!! So this was our solution LOL!!
Awesome. What a beautiful coach. Bill and I want to wish you the best of luck and safe travels. Hopefully we will meet again in our travels. Looking forward to seeing the new 'baby'.
Congrats! I will really look forward to seeing the pics.
We (my husband) are looking into Solar now for our new Trilogy - a good winter project

Congrats!! We've narrowed down our list to pretty much the same three you did. We were super impressed with the fact that Bob Tiffin was at the Hershey show talking to customers, taking notes, etc. Looking forward to seeing pics!!
I would love to share pictures. But after it got out of detail today we found a nice nick and it will need to head to the paint shop before we will go any farther. Otherwise we would be doing our walk through tomorrow. But things happen. So now it will be closer to Thursday or Friday if things go right. And they will still have to switch over our solar and stuff after that. At least we are in Florida LOL!!
