Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

New to group Solo, or any group here. So an intro is in order.

Recently widowed, I’m a full-timer. Not owned by a house after 40 years of it. I’m Very retired after 45 years of industrial mechanical technologies. I have four daughters; seven grand daughters and one grandson. I love the West, all four corner states and beyond... Love Jeep trips; pavement sucks. Love exploring, metal detecting, gold hunting and prospecting, fishing, certified scuba diver, skeet and target shooting.. golf is boring to me I've tried it and I hate being made an fool of by a little ball. I have no problem with tent camping out on a Jeep trail with friends. I’m Florida born and raised, and sick of humidity, and bugs. If it has real mountains and my Jeep I'm a happy boy.

I am in the middle of my first trip alone...I am also very proud of my self for the accomplishment. I am dedicated to; despite my kids arguments to keep Full Timing. I love it so. Never thought I would be doing it alone but God had different plans, and,  I'm certainly not alone there, as I'm finding out. 40 ft diesel pusher for one person is a little nuts but that's my home and have no intentions of giving it up. "Life is a Journey not a Destination" after all; and I thought nomads were cool as a kid and still do.

Welcome. We like the West too! Loved AZ but it took some getting used to since we had always been extremely "green". Yes, but with that green comes bugs of which we are very tired of this year. And, God does often mix it up for us but we just have to keep moving along. And, kids? Who would have thought that they would come to the point where they were going to "parent" us for our own good. Enjoy!

Welcome to RV-Dreams, Mike.  I agree that Jeeping in the West is the best!  We spent the remainder of our working lives in Florida and once we tasted Jeeping out west we never took the Jeep offroad in Florida again!  Make sure you get to Moab, UT and Colorado near Montrose or Buena Vista.  You will have a bunch of instant Jeeping friends!

Welcome, Mike.

Since we have lived almost all of our lives in Oklahoma, we've also managed to spend a lot of time in western states.  While we are still working and unable to travel yet, the rest of our exploring will have to wait a bit.  However, we are anticipating a move to Colorado and that will make me extremely happy because the mountains really rejuvenate me.

We are looking forward to your comments and telling us of your explorations.

Terry
