Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I have been hiding a clue in plain site for the last few days so I wanted to bring everyone on the board up-to-date.
As of 3.1.12, we will be winding down our business as we are very excited to announce that we will become full-time employees of the Winegard company. We will be traveling throughout the Western US as an RV dealer trainer and sales support team. I will be employed full-time and Janet part-time. I will work with the RV dealers mechanics to certify them on the product installation and trouble-shooting and Janet will give us 2 people to support the Winegard product at RV shows, dealer open houses or any other event where Winegard feels we could support the local dealer(s).
While we have had a great run for the last 12 years of running our own business, we feel tremendously privileged to be welcome into the Winegard family and expect that the next 12 years will be every bit as good or better than the last 12.

Thanks guys! No, we will not be doing any more installs but we might have to go up and do some trouble-shooting from time to time. It certainly will not be our "business" but we will do what we can when we can. Winegard wants our focus to be on training and that's OK with me (us). This is a great company with a great product and I can't think of anything I would rather be doing. We will fly to Tulsa (from Tucson) on the 6th to meet with the other Winegard trainer (there was only one and now there will be 2) at a large training session he is doing. We already are good friends with this trainer and many of the Winegard folks that we have dealt with over the last 12 years. They seem to be just as excited that we are joining their team as we are to be joining them. This is the perfect "win-win" situation and we could not be any more excited! We will stay in touch and we will try to keep our enthusiasm in check but if you hear a bit less from us it will only because we are just too busy or we are trying to keep our posts a bit more focused. I am not sure I can do that, but that's my goal!
Congratulations on the change in status. I had also noticed the avatar change, but hadn't linked the avatar to Winegard.
While congratulations are in order and we are happy for you, I am bummed that you are going into Tulsa instead of Oklahoma City. Had you been coming here, I might have even bought you two some ice cream sometime after work.

Good luck and especially good luck on your focus.
