Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Got my Fiver! It is all coming together now!

I am so excited!  Bought our fiver yesterday!!!   It is not a "million dollar baby" but it suits us and I fell in love with it!  After looking at thousands....I was happy to finally find a nice well kept, clean unit in our humble price range and the best part was that it was fairly close to home. :)  She is all paid for...no payments for us!

Our unit is in almost in pristine condition for the year....looks like it was hardly ever used, not much wear and tear and owned by an elderly couple that evidently did not use it much. I loved the layout and closet/cupboard space, has a corner walk in shower that was a must have for us, 2 slides, and all the nice amenities that we were looking for.  I was excited to see bigger axels..these are the biggest axels that I have seen on ANY of the campers we looked at...I am most happy about that!

She is a 2004 Sunnybrook 31BWFS.  I am so happy and excited to get her packed up and get on our way!

(PS: That is not our truck in the picture....we don't have a hitch yet.  Our truck is a white F250 diesel super duty! :)

I know...isn't it wonderful?  I told the DH if things fall into place IT IS MENT TO BE!

Can't pick her up till next week, so we are madly trying to find a hitch so we can pull her home ourselves!

Outstanding!! You got one of the better rigs made in that era of Sunnybrook. About 2007 they started trying to get into different lines and the quality went straight down. Ours is a Mobile Scout made by Sunnybrook (same thing as a Titan which yours is). We have an additional slide and is the same length as yours.
One word of caution unless you are aware of it, check the tires closely. That year they used Goodyear Marathon and there have been many instances of blowouts because your rig is heavy. Also, if you ain't handy, get the brakes and wheel bearings serviced. In '04 they sometimes used EZLube wheel bearings and sometimes NevRLube bearings. Both are good systems.
Again, congrats on a good find, and much happy camping.

Good to know Ken...thank you!  I believe the tires are Good Year but not the originals.  I think they are Wranglers and are fairly new but when we get her home we will look into it further.  I am sure my dh will check things out a bit closer but glad to know we got a decent unit!  Any tips are WONDERFUL...this is why I love this litte group!

Just checked the tires and they are new Goodyear Wranglers 10 ply.  Do you know how to tell exactly what size axles we have?  They look to be pretty heavy duty 8 lugs.  The camper says 6,000 lb but honestly they look to be atleast 7,000 lb. IMHO.

Most of them in that age group are 7K axles. To know for sure, crawl under and check the tags on the axle. Or, call Sunnybrook and ask engineering what they are. You will need the VIN before you call.

I need to get a hitch for this now! Can anyone point me in the right direction for hitches for a good price? I need a slider hitch cuz we
have a short box on our Ford (its a crew cab).

I can't afford a "top of the line" hitch but just want a good middle of the road suggestion.

MaryBee - nice looking home on wheels. Hope to see you on the road here in the GR area. Or up North.

When I went hitch shopping we were in a rush too. We have to have a slider with the Carrilite front and the Dodge shortbox.
What I found was a Pullrite SuperGlide Industry standard.
The price was the same as a Curt Q20 with slider.
The Pullrite has a full pivoting head which makes hook up alot easier.
The downside is that you do have rails mounted in the bed.
