Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Just signed up based on your invite Jerry. Haven't had a chance to figure it out yet. I'm on Facebook, but not actively, so I'm not sure how they compare.

Less people on G+ than FB. With so many of my contacts on FB that aren't on G+ it's impossible to quit FB just yet. Just hope that days comes as I am sick and tired of FB making changes to the page layout, security settings, etc.

Google+ taking on FB is like David and the giant. It will be a while before Google+ will make a big impact on FB. So far, I like the control features of Google+ much better than FB. Google+ allows users to opt in, while FB requires users to opt out. I believe that modus operandi (FB/opt out) will eventually be a thorn in the side for FB. Time will tell. Meanwhile, I will continue to build my circles in Google+ and see what happens in FB. Technology - you gotta love it.

I've been on FB since 2008. Everytime there is a change, it drive me nuts. Our blog is on Google. When when Google blogger makes a change, there is an option to move to the change or keep the former.
Also, I am a Googlite because I use lots of Goggle products.

Just signed up on Google+, I'm on FB but both my sons are defecting to Google+ so I'll probably use both. I don't spend a lot of time on these sites but it does help connect with some people. I do like the way Google+ is set up, but I agree with some of the others that time will tell.

I use both FB coz everybody's there and Google+ coz it's photo friendly. Plus with the circles you can choose who see's what posts and vice versa. If your a photog, this is worth reading.
Mary and I have used Google+ from the beginning. We can establish a circle of just our family and "really important" friends. Facebook is more of a lurking kind of system. We look to see what everyone is doing but the Google+ fits us better. We also use the Google products for everything else including to help manage our web site so it is a natural.

Just signed up this past week. A going to run both for now, we'll see. Am still learning how to navigate. I thought circles was a way to organize my contacts - I had no idea they were going to be sending an email to each person!
I got a call from one I don't email much asking if it was ME who had sent the email or if it was spam .... he's kinda paranoid anyway.
Not sure who is even seeing what I am posting.
Now to figure out how to post from my smart phone ....
G+ sends emails to people you add to your circles that aren't members of G+. I did the same thing when I first signed up for G+. Hopefully some of your friends will join G+. The circles are a nice way to separate your friends to better organize your contacts. The nice thing about G+ is you can specify what circles will be able to see your post. That way you don't bother your non-RV friends with posts about your RV adventures :)
