Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Virgin Atlantic Mobile...Beware RipOff

Virgin Mobile in my experience has horrible customer service, I would avoid them at all costs. Quick True story, I called up using the automated system to top up a phone I purchased at Best Buy a year or so ago. $20.00 was charged to my CC, I tried to make a call and message said "Please call customer service to verify your account" I call, they ask me for my Pin #, well it's been a year, I misplaced it. I spent a solid HR getting transferred from one Idiot to another, finally I asked to speak to a supervisor. He said there is nothing he could do, I asked to have my card credited back, he said he could not do anything without a Pin #. After going back and forth for 10 minutes following my previous HR I asked, "are you telling me that you have charged and processed my $20.00 and without my Pin you can not activate my phone or credit me back so you are just keeping my money without providing service or credit? He said "that is correct" I hung up in disbelief, called my CC company, they are working on it.....AVOID VIRGIN ATLANTIC MOBILE PLEASE......Gene..

Wow... thanks for the warning, Gene!  Sounds like about all you can do at this point is dispute the charge with the credit card company.

Seems funny to me they can easily charge you the money without a pin, yet it can't refund the same money withut the pin? Nah, not funny at all. Ripoff is what it is.

I worked as a manager of a major electronics retailer, and that story is horrific.  I have personally refunded a couple of thousand dollars to a guy whose wife bought him a computer, but it wouldn't have done what he wanted.  (OK, these were back in the earlier days of computers.)

And, that was without a receipt.

Virgin Atlantic  -  NEVER!!

I'll stick with Verizon.

I thought and asked the same question, It was a totally frustrating hour I spent talking to these customer service rep's..total disbelief, I had to keep reminding myself that $20.00 was not worth raising my blood pressure over.......G

I'm thinking this is the same service as Virgin Mobile Broadband and if so, those folks are fanatics when it comes to your "pin" number. I was attempting to activate a new "topoff" card not too long ago, had some difficulties, called customer service, and was told that my recently purchased cards were useless unless I could come up with my pin #...fortunately, before our conversation was over my dear wife located my pin # among my scribbled notes and we proceeded without any further difficulty. I can understand the need for using and remembering your pin #, however, one can become somewhat testy when trying to do business and cannot come up with said pin #...The $40 card provides me with 30 days of unlimited use and I personally like the setup and coverage. No real issues or complaints. One now must get 4- $10 cards in order to continue with the $40 unlimited plan, otherwise I think the charge is now something like $50. I started with the $40 card originally and that is what mine continues to be.
