Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Verizon's 4G LTE network is going to reach over 145 markets by the end of 2011 and mobile users looking for antenna's have been left out until now. Mobile users and RV customers have been awaiting an Omni style antenna that would take advantage of their new 4G LTE network. We have finally come across an antenna that we will be testing in April, which will be a tri-band Omni supporting (700, 850, 1900 MHz). This antenna will be compatible with the Pantech UML290 LTE Modem.
Does that mean that you will be able to connect it to the Pantech 3G port when in a 3G area and the 4G port when in a 4G area or will it still require 2 different external antennas?
You should be able to move it back and forth Bill. Or, with two of them, just connect them and forget them....

Jack, so this is a tri-band antenna? Both the 950Meg and 1.9G bands plus the 4G band? I know it said so, but . . .
Just looking for clarification when I need to replace the "Trucker" (again.) You answer seemed to confirm this, just trying to make sure before I lock that in.
Thank you
Bill

To answer your questions this antenna will work with 800/1900Mhz (3G signal) and 700Mhz (4G LTE). You would need to use it in either the 3G port or 4G port until Verizon gets their 3G network fully converted to 4G or get two, one for each port like Jack suggested.
I looked around the 3G Website but didn't find it off hand as to an announcement or such. Probably just didn't look hard enough.
Do you have a prelim pricing point yet?
Thanks for the updates.
Bill
Not yet, I was discussing some differen antennas with Mike today and we'll be testing quite a few different antenna's. We may even have on the covers a wide enough band to do 3G, LTE and WiMAX! You'd find a snippet of this news on our 4Ginfo site here -
This is the site you'll find all the latest news about all 4G technologies. I post new articles pretty much daily keeping it up to date with the latest rumors/news ;)
