Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I changed over to Verizone Hotspot and the trouble got started. I finally just took it back and got the 4g aircard and I need help setting it up by using my Cradlepoint MBR1000 router. I am using it directly now with my laptop but I want to connect my laptop, netbook and my sons pc to it. He wants to take the pc when we take the motorhome to Texas.(13 days!) The pc would idealy be connected by cable the others are wirelrss. I would rather leave the pc at home, but................ When I plug the air card into the router the computers can't locate it. HELP!
If you have the Verizon Pantech UML290 4G aircard it will not work. Cadlepoint is working on a router that will support the 4G aircard. I talked with them today and they said it would be Jan/Feb before it is released. They will email me when it is available.

Well ain't that special! My 1000 is just 2 months old and obsolete. When I called Verizon they told me Cradlepoint was two yr down the rd. LOL I really don't think they know what it is, The sales rep in the store didn't and their own equiptment is run through a cradlepoint router. They told me when I went into the store.

I hope it is not a new router and just new firmware for their current routers. If they are going to make us get a new router I will look strongly at WiFiRanger.

Anyone have Cable or DSL and a WiFiRanger? Here is how to get a new USB modem (aircard) supported: --- If your USB modem or aircard is not in WiFiRanger’s supported list,
you can make $25 by helping us get it supported. Connectyour WiFiRanger to a Cable or DSL modem with your USB modem plugged in, then request a time to work on the WiFiRangerwith our support engineers. We’ll need
3-5 days lead time to plan ahead. The Support Engineer will need an hour or so to dosome remote diagnostics on your WiFiRanger and learn how to “talk” to your USB modem. After that, we’ll add your USBmodem to our supported list and credit you $25 back to your credit card or PayPal account for the hassle. Email us at
questions@wifiranger.com
to set up an appointment. ---

Cradlepoint engineers are currently working on a firmware update to support the new 3G/4G devices through Verizon. We do not know what devices will be officially supported at this time but on the models that get the firmware update, it'll be a matter of downloading and updating to new firmware that adds the support.
