Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Sorry if someone asked you this already, but I have three phones with Verizon and have their unlimited data package. Are there plans that limit your data usage with their smart phones? Also, I noticed Verizon will now offer coverage for the I-Pad. I'm assuming you can get plans via Wi-Fi if you purchase the I-Pad. Do you know any more about this?

First, lets talk about phones. at that blogpost i linked to, you'll also see that verizon is likely to keep offering the $30/mo feature that allows unlimited data TO the phone (not to tethered devices or via hotspot. that would cost extra)
There is also info about the iPad plans, which requires the purchase of ipad + mifi from verizon... as for which of the new offerings will include access to VZW hotspot network... that hasn't been identified yet, that i know of.
Check out this page on/after 10/28 to find out about which plans include wifi network access.
does this mean they will no longer offer an unlimited data plan?
Read Alex's link and relax.
What about everyone has noticed is the 10GB plan does not seem to be available for USB modems, often called "aircards".
Verizon will start selling the iPad on the 28th but only the wifi versions, so no GPS either. They have bundles with the MiFi to compete with AT&T's 3G prepaid plans. No price breaks on the iPad.
