Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Some of those 'good deals' may be repos. The question is -- what RV dealers get repos? Anyone know how to find them on the internet? Do you know of any RV dealers?
At the recent Wash DC/Dulles Expo RV show I heard a guy talk about King RV in Fredericksburg VA. Sure enough! We called and ended up going down there to see a few. We spoke with new owners who got a 2007 Rambler Ambassador for $118K!
Another RV dealer who sells repos is DeMartini in Grass Valley CA.
But there must be more --- ?
Thanks! Randy

my wife and I bought our first trailer in 08. A 24 ft starstream by starcraft brand new. We had it for a year and a half. I went to by a new jack for it. I walked out with a brand new 08 29 ft trailer with a slideout. The trailer was a bank repo. The dealership I dealt with bought 50 trailers from another dealership that did not survive. The trailer was new ,never sold. They knocked 10 grand right off,and gave me full price for what was left on my loan from the first trailer as a trade in. Intrest rate rate dropped 2.5 %. Everybody is dealing right now. Sad, because my wife and I are looking forward to the the rv life fulltime and we want these businesses to survive. Bottom line is everybody is dealing now. Hit the rv lots, find a dealership that you trust and and that has been established for along time. I buy what you want.
We've heard different stories and opinions on buying bank repos. Our suggestion would be, if you are considering a purchase of a particular "new" RV, get the VIN number and call the factory to see if the unit is still covered under factory waranty and if there are any circumstances you should be aware of as far as the factory is concerned.
Plenty of super deals on the one dealer buys a dying dealer inventory, not just now but in the past as well. However, one big word of caution. Make absolutely sure that the dealer you actually buy from can honor the manufacturer warranty. For example, Newmar will no longer honor the factory warranty on a new rig NOT purchased at an official Newmar dealer. It is possible that a dealer takes repo possession of rigs from another dealer they are not "authorized" to sell. I would NOT take the selling dealer’s word for it, I’d call the manufacturer directly to verify.
we bought our trailer from the only starcraft auth. dealer in az. We took the new trailer out . Had 1 issue. No problem . They took care of it. Our dealership was a starcraft dealership clearing stock from another dealer.
