Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Hands Free Visor Speaker

We had a very productive day at Best Buy (see my Wi-Fi Boost posting).

I hate the bluetooth earpieces and was looking for an alternative now that California has a law that prohibits holding a cellphone up to your ear while driving.

Motorola makes a bluetooth speaker that attaches to your visor, there are two versions.  The one we bought has it's own speaker with volume control.  The other sends a signal through your FM radio so you hear the conversation over the FM radio speakers.

Here are the details:
http://direct.motorola.com/ens/carkits/learn-T305.html

Our bluetooth enabled phone accepted the speaker without any trouble, easy setup only took a few minutes.

The sound quality is great and we haven't experienced any drop outs or echos, static or other problems that these type of speakers are known for.

I'm impressed with how well this speaker works.

The speaker inside of the unit can be turned up quite loud.  So hearing the call was no problem, even with the air conditioner fan on high.

The only drawback is everyone in the car will hear both sides of the conversation.

The cost was $69 and it is the perfect solution if you don't like wearing one of those StarTrek looking ear pieces...."Beam me up Scotty"

Yep while here in Ca. the law passed as of July 1. No talking on cell while driving.  Arnie said he didnt want his daughter driving and talking on the cell phone,. Now if he could just do something about all the fires in Ca. all would have it made!
We drove over200 miles today with smoke in the distance. Right now we are in Needles and will out of Ca, tomorrow.

Well this sounded like something we've been looking for so we went out and bought it today and it was pretty easy to install and so far so good.  I saw a few people today still using their cell phones but I guess you'll always have the law abiding citizens and the ones that make their own rules.
Thanks for the info on this Bear II.  idea
