Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.


We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Whiteboard - Easy Private Messaging

Some of you may have noticed the new Whiteboard feature in your Profile.  I didn't know what it was or how to use it, so today I asked.  smile

The Whiteboard is another way for Forum members to communicate privately.  Want to post a note for someone?  Just find them on the User List, click on their name in a forum post, or click on their name at the bottom of the Main Page if they are online.
 
You will bring up their Profile and you should see a "whiteboard".  Just type your message on the whiteboard.  The next time that member logs in, they will see "You have ___ Whiteboard messages" and they can go check it out.

It's not an online chat.  Linda was hoping for that.  smile

And it's not even as good as a Private Message.  So it's not really all that useful.  But it is quick and easy.

Now we all know.  biggrin

I have been wanting that function for quite some time now.  Just ask Howard how much I have been whining about it. 

Well I got tired of whining and decided to do a little research and found out that Instant Messaging software runs about $3,000 big ones.  So that put a cork in it. biggrin

That software sounds really expensive, we will just have to find an existing chat service such as MSN or AIM and form an RV Dreams chat room  smile...... Sorry if I am getting off subject...... Don
