Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Laptop table

We have a laptop computer table from Ikea that is great for RV'ers.  Ikea named it "Dave";)
Just go to Ikea.com and search for computer tables.

I will have to look at one of these at an Ikea store but I suspect it is not what I want. We don't need a computer setup while we are parked, but would like one while driving our motorhome with the GPS attached. But not enough to cough up the money for a Jotto Desk floor mount . It looks like "DAVE" is not sturdy enough to be clamped down while driving.

Since I ended up with an RV without a dinette, which would have been my office, I've been looking at those rolling carts that have flip-up extensions and some drawer space. I've found several from $100-$200, just wish I could find one in a store rather than having to have it shipped....and have to put it together, too. <g>

I have a great laptop laptop tray - wide enough for my mouse, generous padding, sits well on my lap. That is what I have been using for the last month or two at home. But I need a place for my printer, bills, etc.

We both use laptops with the padded trays, they are very comfortable.
I even use the tray by itself for eating dinner, very handy item.

Bill,
I don't think this would work for the truck. It only has two positions for tilting and the stand looks too large. It's great for inside the RV though.
