Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Volunteering

Where would I go on this site to find threads on volunteering, ie. campgrounds (state and federal), fish and wildlife reserves, parks, monuments etc?

We ,presently, volunteer 6 months or so a year but are always seeking new & different places and ideas.

Thanks,

Larey

Right here in this topic you started is where to look.

Here are a couple of websites to get folks started:

Volunteer.gov/gov is the place to find volunteer opportunities at U.S. federal properties.

CoolWorks.com has all kinds of positions in all kinds of places.

And of course Workamper.com is still the premier site for matching RVers with positions.

Other ideas and exchanges on volunteering are welcome here.

You can also try Take Pride in America whose tag line is

"Let's join together to take care of the places we all use and enjoy!
It's Your Land, Lend a Hand." Clint Eastwood is also promoting this resource.

In addition there are:
REI Volunteering a partnership between REI stores and Volunteer Match
Habitat for Humanity Care-a-Vanners for RVers
Freedom Corps the post 9/11 freedom corp volunteer network
