Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Linda, what was it you did to a T-shirt?

Linda, a while back Howard posted a photo of a T-shirt that you cut up or something.  What was it you did to it?  My T-shirts are too long, and if there is something more interesting than hemming them, I'd like to know.confused

Hi Sonia,

I learned to do it from one of the volunteers while we were working at Santa Ana.

It really is too hard to explain in writing.  Howard and I are thinking about maybe video taping the process.  We just haven't had the time to try it.cry

Do you have more time to tell us yet, Linda, now that you are taking it easy.  Maybe we can see a picture, and figure it out ourselves ?  Winter is coming, so we will be wearing T-shirts, instead of tank tops.  Glad that you are getting better, Happy Trails, Penny,TX

Hi Linda!
I was looking at the T shirt in the photo on the journal, and I was wondering if Howard filmed any of your t shirt braiding class? I'm very interested, but am a "wannabe" and I know that I won't have the opportunity any time soon to attend one of your t shirt times. Currently, I live in Northern KY and have not acquired an RV of any kind. We're waiting to build enough capital to go into the life without debt... so we wait and work.
I've enjoyed the blog since last summer, and have vicariously accompanied you on your adventures. Thanx for that!

Linda, I'm very interested in your t-shirt braiding class, also. Please get Howard to film it and post it somewhere on the website. Please, please, please!!!

I have posted photos that one of the rv-dreamers sent me who attended one of Howard and Linda's rallies. Maybe some of you can figure it out from the photos. I posted them on my blog at http://srmerrikinblog.blogspot.com.

I googled braided t-shirt and found a bunch of instructions and youtube videos.  Looks really cute and easy.  Just google it.

I have gone on a web search for t-shirt braiding. I find a lot on every type of braiding except the hem and the sleeves. I went to the Kerrville, Tx. rally and did learn the technique but have forgotten a step. I just can't find any tutorial on the hem part of the t shirt. Help!
