Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.


We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

We are looking at a 5th wheel this weekend that we are very interested in. Suggestions for where to go for insurance? We will be storing the rv through the winter and going FT in the spring. We talked to Miller in Oregon - they cannot help as we are keeping our domicile in New York. TIA!

 I have had good luck again with National General Assurance Co. since 2001. 1-888-293-5108  www.NationalGeneral.com  Had them also from 1988 until 1999 before.   Pieere!

If you already have multiline insurance for your domicile and vehicles, you should be able to add your RV to it for minimal cost especially while in storage for the winter. If you decide to go fully mobile and drop the house many insurers will not cover the RV. At that point talking to Miller Insurance, for example, will help. We had similar experience with Statefarm, but once we sold the house they would not cover the RV anymore.... went to Miller, we are pleased with their support and service. Now we have everything through them using Progressive.  OUr experience... YMMV as they say.
