Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We had this issue ourselves. as I was hauling boxes out of storage we opened up our Crystal (that we bought in Germany) and couldn't part with it. so I had to configure a way to safely store them so that they don't break while in transit. so we have a set of long stem wine glasses, Champaign glasses, tumblers short and tall. My solution, I converted one complete cabinet into our liqueur cabinet. I installed a wine cooler ( I put all of our alcohol in it. I installed 2 roll out trays at the bottom and designed inserts for the glasses. each tray holds 8 glasses, I designed them using 2" thick pine covered with 1/4" cedar, using a hole saw cut out the 8 holes, cut 1/4" plywood lined with nonslip material and mounted to the bottom. each pocket is lined with weather stripping adhesive backed foam rubber to hold each glass firmly in its pocket. I don't know how to attach a picture or I would. I am currently in the process of making the second tray when I stumbled upon this forum. of course all ideas are good ideas, so I started reading. and I like the ideas of wrapping my alcohol bottles to keep them from clanging. especially while they are standing upright in the cooler. I saw somewhere this material that looked like netting for that purpose but have not located the source of where to get it. if anyone knows please advise me. in the mean time I guess some old o.d. green army socks might work. happy travles.

no big deal, just trying to protect the crystal and bottles from breaking more than the alcohol it self. my wife likes a glass of wine on occasion, I quit drinking 12 years ago except for my small glass of Champaign to bring in the new year every year. the rest is to offer company. they couldn't be happier, when I offer a 12 year old scotch that I have had for 12 more years, 24 year old scotch..... it even smells smooth as I pour it in the glass......how is it said..... It just keeps getting better with age.
