Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
PS, Dave, you are coming to the "classless class " gathering?

We sure plan to. We will spend the first 7 or 8 days with the a group of Tiffin owners at LAPOSA south and then move over to where the Class-less plan to be and hand out for another week or so.
We will be there starting 1/11 for the Circling of the Montana's which will be off Plomosa Road and then after the rally on 1/21 we will head down to LTVA La Posa South area and set up camp until mid March....
First time for us and we are really looking forward to it!!!!

If this is your first time to "Q" watch out for con artists, scammers and pick pockets. They tend to work in teams, one distracts while others take.
I watched a guy hand over $1500 to a group using a modified version of the nigerian letter scam (for $1500 you'll get $2000). As soon as he gave the leader the $1500 all of the team ran off in different directions. It was like watching an episode of a TV crime show.
Also make sure your portable generator and other valuables are put away at night. Chain or cable locks won't stop theft.

Right now it looks like we'll be arriving on Jan 4th, unfortunately looks like we might miss some of you. Departure date is somewhat up in the air, waiting to find out if we need to head back towards Phoenix so Dale can drop me off at the airport for a business trip I need to take.
I think Dale would like to join Steve and Dave for the flight time of the TOY!! We saw one of those in action in CA but I don't think it was quite a cool as Dave's appears to be Of course, since we've only see pics on the blog, we need to see it in person.
Okay RV Dreamers...let's pick a date and time in January for a get together that works for everyone and maybe have a potluck Appy afternoon. Nobody goes home hungry and has to make dinner! I know that many of you are busy with group events earlier in the month, so how about we plan for sometime towards the end of January. If we end up with a large response I can check with the camp host here at La Posa South to see if the picnic shelter (with outhouse facilities) is available for whatever date we decide on, or if someone has lots of parking available and an extra large black tank we could go to your place Any other suggestions are welcomed if you would like to do something different...I just wanted to get the ball rolling. We look forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones from the RV Dreamer family!
Update:
Spoke to the camp host, the picnic shelter is "not available" on Sunday's and Tuesday's. I have to submit a letter of intent for approval by the BLM boss but that should'nt be an issue. The site also has horse shoe pits and fire pits.

Steve and Dianne,
Sounds great...as you know our plans will be to setup in LaPosa South sometime around 1/20 or 1/21 so this sounds like we will be there by the time this happens.
Keep us posted on plans!
Thanks,
Les

Steve - we'd love to join the party if we're still there. We'll be arriving on the 4th, departing on the 19th as long as my data signal stays strong enough to allow me to work efficiently, otherwise we'll have to leave a little earlier, not sure how badly the influx of other RV'ers for the RV show will impact my signal so we're having to be a little flexible.
