Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Update on VanMar

It's been a while since I've posted so, while we have internet, I thought I would do a quick update.

We closed on the house on the 4th of August, I retired on the 15th, and we left Springfield, MO on the 25th.  Spent a week in Madison, WI and headed west through MN, ND, MT, and ID to arrive at my cousin's place in Tonasket, WA on the 15th of this month.  She had knee replacement on the 15th so we're sticking around for a while to help out around the place (hiddenhillscountryinn.com).

We're going to head south to Beaverton, OR later this week to see mom and sister in law for a while then on to CA to see my relatives.  After that, it's points south for the winter.

The truck/fiver combo is working out fantastic...getting 10-10.5 mpg.

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of the RV-Dreams family for all of the information and insight that has made the transition to full timing so much easier and more enjoyable.  I have a lot of catching up on the forum to do.

Vance and Marla

Welcome back. Sounds like the first thing you should do is change your tag from Target Fulltiming date: 8-4-14 to Fulltiming Adventure Kickoff date: 8-25-14smile

Let the good times roll!!

Congratulations, Vance.

We retired just a month and a half ahead of you and left Oklahoma City for the Colorado Springs area.  Looks like we'll be here for a while, at least until sometime next year, maybe longer.

Enjoy visiting all the family, because they are generally pretty important to all of us.  That's the reason we may be in the Colorado Springs area for a while.

Thank you, everybody.

BiggaRView, thanks for the heads-up.  Got that taken care of.

Terry and Jo, greetings my friends.

Just a pic of our front yard for the past week and a half...

Sherry and Jesse:  Been reading about your journey...thoughts and prayers are with you.

Should have internet in Beaverton so will post more from there.

Vance
