Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Hello all! We are so excited about our planning stages for full-timing! Since we made this decision I look at all of our possessions so differently. I spend hours on this forum learning from all of you. Our plan is to embark on this journey in 2017 when I have fulfilled my active duty military contract. I will spend some time in the near future posting info about us in the introductions section but for now I have one main question. Can we attend an RV rally with you fine folks even though we have not purchased our rig yet? We would like to just stay in a nearby hotel and learn as much as we can about this lifestyle from y'all during our waking hours. Is that too weird?
ABSOLUTELY! My hubby and I thought we wanted to f/t in 2011. We, too, found this great forum and family. We attended our first rally that year, which helped to cement our decision. Lots more info to be had, great folks, and lots of fun.
We stayed in a cabin at the campground.

Absolutely!! We try to have our Rallies at venues where there are cabins or hotel rooms nearby. Usually 20 - 30% of our Rally attendees don't have an RV, and we encourage wannabes to attend.
Everyone starts out as a wannabe :). Whether your in a rig or not..rallies are a great way to learn about the lifestyle and meet other like minded people
Lori, Attending an RV Dreams Rally before you purchase an RV is probably one of the best things you could do. You'll learn so much about RVs and the lifestyle that you've probably never even thought about before.
Purchasing an RV that doesn't fit your needs can be very expensive. Going to the Rally will help you decide what you really need.

Cindi and I will be attending a rally before we go FT and certainly before we purchase a rig. We consider it money well spent, and more important is the participation with other likeminded people.... shared experiences are the best way to cement bonds with others.
