Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I'm sure I've seen posts from folks who are "graduating" to fulltime next year. Some are brand new forum members but I think there are others who have been at this longer and are at last coming up on their launch date. It is such and exciting and scary time as our dream will soon be coming true! I'd love to get to know you, what your next 10-30 months look like, where you're going first - support each other coming down the "new-home stretch."
Please let me know if there's already a place for us......
Bill retires April 1, 2015, and we plan to be on the road the day after our youngest graduates from high school, but we have lots to do until then.
You could always start a new group at RVillage for the class of 2015. The 2014 "class" already has a group there. We aren't going FT til 2019 but we're discussing this idea with somebody we connected with there on the RV wannabe's group.

If you find a place here, Jodee, we'll join you. The Escapees Class of 2015 is the only place I've seen. As you know, we are a month behind Bill's retirement date, and we intend to launch around Halloween of 2015.

We consider ourselves Class of '15 and plan to launch two months after Roy ... although we have to locate the right DP during that time-frame to launch on-time. Either way, I retire NLT Dec. '15 and will hit the road thereafter.
The Class of 2014 is on fire, so maybe we'll pick up more Boomers as 2014-2105 rolls along!
Roy,
Can you post a link to the Escapees Class of 2015. I tried in vein to locate it :(
We will join you in the class of 2015. Although DH is retired and I am no longer able to work due to medical conditions we have some stuff to do on our home so we plan on listing it end of 2014 or early 2015. We have the RV and just got the trailer so we are planning on traveling most of the summer and fall of 2014, and preparing the house over the winter. Can't wait to attend the fall rally and meet some of you great people.

I can't figure out the "address" for a link to the Escapees class, but we are under the Graduating to Full Time forum and then Class of 2015. If you enter "class 2015" in the search engine it will get you to the thread as well.
I go there to visit but the RVD forum feels like home which prompted my inquiry. So it looks like the answer to my question is that I didn't miss it. We just started it here. I'm going to start a new topic Dreamers Class of 2015 here so we can continue to stay in touch on our progress while checking in on other RVD topics.
Brian and Cindi's suggestion about RVillage is a good option for us too I think. We can start mapping our locations and eventually plan some get-togethers as we launch. Certainly would be fun to see our map now with all of our "where we started" locations . I'll open a group for us and see who else might be out there!
Thanks for responding, always good to know we're not alone .
