Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.


We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Is anyone going to the 2014 Tampa show?

Hi!  Someone had pulled up an old thread about who was going to the 2013 Tampa Show, but I think they really meant the 2014 Tampa Show, so I figured I would start a new one and ask the question:  Who is going to the 2014 Tampa Show in January?

Bill and I are going, not sure of our exact schedule yet, but if anyone wants to get together, we will be in the area, arriving Wednesday the 15th and leaving Tues the 22.  We are flying down, as vacation time is still at a premium - hopefully not for long!  Can't wait to meet us with anyone who wants to and has the time!

We plan to go down to it. We're a couple hours north of it, so we'll just go down for a day, but hope to plan to be there whatever day Dreamers are meeting up.

We plan on being there for a day. We are about 2 hours north as well. I know there are quite a few 'dreamers' in the area that are planning some sort of get together.

Yep, sure are as always.  We'll be staying in the area and will be there all the days except Sunday as it now stands before moving back to the east coast.

I'm sure H & L will set a meet time where we can get together.  Probably around the floating restaurant.

Looking forward to seeing all once again along with the newer ones.

We plan a visit to my wife's boys in Tampa at the same time as the show. We get a great price (special rate for the show) at the Marriott Residence Inn on Princess Palm Ave, which is just around the corner from the Fair Grounds. We get in the Sunday before the show and stay thru Saturday. We usually attend the show all day on Wednesday and then return on Thurs for a couple of hours.

If by some major miracle we can put the house on the market the first week of January and it sells immediately, there's a chance we may be able to come down by the time of the show. We plan to establish domicile there anyway, so buying our rig in FL would be so much easier for the registration and stuff.

But timing is everything and it truly would take a miracle to have that kind of timing!

I am planning on being there.  It will be my first show.  There are 4 different types of 5th wheels I want to check out, then I plan to either meet up with my daughter in Miami or Universal Studios, whichever one she wants.  I have a week off and then need to get back home.  Thank goodness I love driving.

I have been so excited about this show and have been planning to go for about three months now.  I hope I won't be disappointed.  So much to learn.
