Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Yea!!! We are now OFFICIAL South Dakota residents.... and let me tell you, wait till its WARM!
We left the warm south Alabama area Sunday morning Nov 10 wearing flipflops and tee shirts. It was 23* when we got to Souix Falls SD on the 12th.
It hasn't been above 30* since we got here. Signed up with Alternative Resources, got our drivers license, got a new tire (blew one in a construction zone), opened a SD bank account, and had a great dinner.
Can't wait for tommorow morning to head for Texas for some warmth! Hope to stop around Emporia Kansas for the night.
I can't imagine being in SD in the winter. We got our license, tags and insurance etc. before we left the area in August. We got an email from where we workamped a few weeks later along with pictures of their 4' of snow. We got out just in time. Give me sun and warmth any time. Safe travels.
Today was a freakish day in KS. It is supposed to be 16 degrees tonight in Emporia and it feels like it already! Temps had been in the 50's until today when it was in the 20's. Tomorrow it will be 50 again and by Sunday they say 70. The weather anymore...............
I'm currently 30 miles east of St Louis, the temp this morning is 18 deg... I had to leave the faucet on a trickle overnight. Worried throughout the night about frozen water lines, UGH!!!!! All is fine so far this am. Its supposed to climb to 50's today.
