Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Sherry made a great suggestion that we see if we can get a few of us together this winter in AZ. Maybe even more than once, thought we'd start with trying to see if we could find a time in November that would work for everyone.
Here are a few options:
Saturday Nov 23
Friday Nov 29 (Thanksgiving weekend)
Saturday Nov 30 (Thanksgiving weekend)
Location TBD, maybe somewhere in the Phoenix area, or somewhere between Phoenix and Tucson. Love to hear any and all suggestions. If anyone is located where we could get a group together or if you know a park with a group location and would like to suggest a location, that would be great.
If you are interested please either PM me or reply to this thread. Let me know if there's a date you prefer, if you want to meet for a lunch or dinner. Once we seem to have a consensus we can post it here and hope to see several of you.

Ruth and I agreed this would be better way than sending me PM's. Lord willing and the creek don't rise, we should be there sometime in mid-November. We have to get from CA to Indiana and back but if truck gets fixed quickly we should make it. Then we'll be in Seal Beach CA for month of December.
We'll also be east of Phoenix from January 15 to feb. 15 for more get togethers.

Unless our plans change, we will be in Mesa (east of Phoenix) for three months starting January 6th. The time between we will be in Oregon and California.
California to Indiana and back in under 6 weeks. Sounds like a leisurely trip. Not!

Yeah, Bill, we're going to try to renegotiate that with the factory. We have warranty work that needs to be done before our year is up. We called Guaranty before we left Vancouver but they were booked well into November. If you know an outstanding service department that might work on our rig in the Southwest please let us know. We can postpone our Mor/Ryde IS & tire upgrade as well.

Bill and I are definitely interested, anytime between now and April. When we get to our winter positions we will see what the work schedule is like. Supposedly it is three days on and three off each week. Anytime will work for us. I imagine alot of the parks will be expecting their winter guests but maybe there will be one that has spots for us. Let me know if there is anything I can do and keep us posted.
Steve be in Surprise/Phoenix from Nov 10 - sometime before Thanksgiving. I will be joining him for a week and we'd be available Nov 14 & 15th it those dates work out for others.
We should be passing through AZ sometime in mid-November on our way from Oregon (current location) to Austin for Thanksgiving. If anyone is gathering mid-month, we'd love to drop in.
If we can get some of our maintenance issues done in time we hope to be in Quartzsite by mid to late November. We'll be in the AZ, CA area until the end of March. We will also be in the Phoenix area to fly home for Christmas. We're looking forward to a get together where ever it may be!
Allen - we might be interested in some of that time, waiting to find out which art shows we'll be participating in Southern Cal, but near the end of Jan will be enroute from CA back to AZ for the Feb art shows.
el Rojo, Not to worry it looks like we are going to be doing this every chance we get. It's a great bunch of people and we always look forward to getting together with "family".
We would love to get together with everyone but we may not be going through the area until around Feb. or even March. Maybe there will still be someone hanging around.
Maybe we need to plan a once a month Dreamers get together in AZ??? Or at least from Nov- March since many of us will be headed north after that.
We'll start with Nov and then start another thread for each month and see what everyone wants to do. I know we won't be in AZ in Jan as we're headed to So Cal at that time and I think we'll be heading to TX sometime in March but happy to start the ball rolling and see what happens each month.
Sounds like a good plan. We arrived in Benson this afternoon and are getting settled in. So far,so good. I know we will be here until April and then may be heading to a RV-Dreams rally. We'll see.
Our plans changed again, hey, we're nomads after all! We're in the Verde Valley (near Sedona) all week, oct. 19th to the 25th! In case anyone around or passing thru. Beautiful weather predicted all week.

We stayed at Silver View while in Bullhead City. You probably made the wiser choice LOL!! If you head towards Lake Havasu next take a look at the state park right on the lake. We loved it there.
Hdrider - curious about the state park near Lake Havasu, any connectivity issues? Would it work for FT's who have Verizon Jetpacks and need good connectivity to work? Trying to figure out our travel between AZ and So Cal with art shows and my full time "work from home" virtual job. We much prefer state or county parks to the "RV resorts" with minimal room between sites.

I don't remember having any trouble with internet. And I didn't make any notes on our memory sheet (spread sheet that we keep notes on LOL). Remember,, it is dry camping.

Dale and Ruth...we stayed there last year. We use Verizon and found the service to be almost nonexistent. Dianne phoned Verizon and was told that they don't have coverage in that area. They do have coverage on the California side of the lake. You may want to check in case that has changed.
If you decide to stay there site #10 is one of the best on the waterfront IMHO.

Safe travels!
I remember reading that about your service. In fact I remember commenting about it while we stayed there. Normally I will document that if we have problems but I don't see it in our notes. I could have screwed up however LOL.
We will be in the Phoenix area around mid to late November and should be there through March and would love the opportunity to meet some of you. Keep us all posted on the get together plans! I Liked the idea of maybe once a month trying to get together with everyone in the area during the Nov - March time frame. love family reunions!
Since November is coming quickly, how about a lunch or dinner at maybe a central pizza parlor around Surprise or Phoenix on Thursday, Nov 14? I'm suggesting that date as I'll be there for a few days and I'm open on that day
WE ARE NEW TO FULL TIMING IN A FIFTH WHEEL. WE SPENT 3 DIFFERENT WINTERS IN APACHA JUNCTION CAMPING WITH HORSES, BUT NOW NO HORSES. WE HAVE MADE RESERVATIONS IN MESA, BUT SURE IF THE PLACE WILL BE NICE. IF YOU COULD SUGGEST SOME PLACES THANKS. ALSO ANY PLACE IN SACRAMENTO. HAVE RESEARCH THE REVIEWS BUT PERSONAL EXPERENCE IS GOOD
Well, it seems that plans have changed for us. While geocaching, Donna slipped and broke her foot pretty good (details at fergizmo.blogspot.com/). So we are staying put here in Bullhead City / Ft Mohave, AZ for maybe up to 3 months. We have found a great place to stay though. The Riverside Adventure Trails RV Park (RAT) is quite the deal. We have full hookups and only pay $348.00 a month. Pretty amazing! It is just a little bump in the road and we will get through this. She can put no weight on her right leg. Getting by in our 5th wheel with her walker is a bit different. She has to crawl up to get to the bathroom/bedroom, and crawl down backwards to get back to the living room area.
I am having a good time taking care of her. Time will go by quickly and we will be off again. Once she is feeling better, and I find a wheel chair, we may get out and do some visiting if their are any Dreamers left in AZ.
Life is Still Good!

Allen - we read the blog post, saw the Facebook photos and just wanted you and Donna to know you are in our thoughts and prayers. Hoping for a speedy recovery.
Yep,, been following this mishap on your Blog and Facebook. But I must say she looks pretty comfy sitting there in her chair. But I don't see a bell that she can ring when she needs you!!
We plan to be in arizona in mid-late Feb for art shows at Wickenburg and Fountain Hills. It would be fun to meet up with some full timers and lean more about the life style...
I'll follow this discussion.
We'll be in Gold Canyon (east of Apache Junction) for a week starting tomorrow. May stay an extra week somewhere in Phoenix area. Then we'll be in Tucson area for a couple of weeks.
Jesse & Sherry

Keep in touch when you get to Tucson. Would love to meet up.
OK folks, I've sent a PM to those of you who indicated you would be in the area at the end of November, very little response regarding suggested locations / dates, etc. Here were my original suggestions:
Saturday Nov 23
Friday Nov 29 (Thanksgiving weekend)
Saturday Nov 30 (Thanksgiving weekend)
If none of these dates work maybe we should consider January.
Sherry & Loretta - we'll be in Tucson for the 4th Street Art Fair in Mid-December, maybe we can arrange a meet up in Tucson before or after the show. Of course, you are both welcome to browse our booth for Christmas gifts!!!
PleasantPlucker - we're in Fountain Hills this weekend for Fall Arts Festival, will let you know how it goes. This is our first time here, McDowell Regional Park was an awesome place to stay for the past week!!
OK everyone, looks like we left the Phoenix area a week too early to meet Cherie and Chris (Technomadia). However, this was just posted on their Facebook page, they are hosting a happy hour at their spot in McDowell Regional Park, where we stayed last week, awesome park to visit. Definitely high on the "IT" factor for us.
We're back in Mesa all week Nov. 17 until 23rd at Mesa Spirit ( if anyone wants info on this park, PM me), not sure where we're going Saturday but will be in Oro Valley over Thanksgiving weekend. This week, Jesse is tied up but I have a lot of free time. Dreamers nearby.

We should be in Tucson for Thanksgiving. We have relatives there. Right now we are in Redlands CA, getting work done on our motorhome. If all goes well, we will be done today and will move to Yuma tomorrow, staying on a Foothills lot. We did not expect to be at Redlands Truck and RV Service this long, but stuff happens.

We arrived at the Midland BLM area just outside of Blythe CA yesterday. Our plan is to move on the 29th to the BLM LTVA at La Posa South at Quartzsite. No definate plans on length of stay but probably until the end of Jan.
We finally made it to Arizona yesterday. We are in Yuma staying with some friend's on their Foothills lot. We will move on to Tucson for Thanksgiving and will be meeting up with some RV-Dreamers on Saturday. Family matters will pull us back to California for most of December into early January, when we plan to stay in Mesa AZ for 3 months.

Bill - we'll still be in Mesa over Thanksgiving but I know Loretta & Bill will be in Benson near Tucson and I think Sherry & Jesse (Westwardho) are going to Tucson for Thanksgiving as well. If your meet up with other RV-Dreamers would be open to anyone else who might want to join the party, could you post the details? Sorry we'll miss everyone but we won't be back to the Tucson area until Dec. 10th.
We are thinking about Quartzsite at the end of December, I want to check out data connectivity to see if we can feasibly work from there for part of January. Would like to spend some time there but I have to have reasonable data / cell connections to work so we'll probably venture out there while I'm on vacation to see if we can extend our stay.
