Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
This link will take you to a Google document reviewing the Pepwave Surf SOHO mobile router. I compare it to the WiFIRanger Go, and the Cradlepoint 95.
If you have comments or observation based on your own use I'd love to hear them.
The SOHO is a very nice product - take a look at the review if you are in the market for a mobile router.
My review equipment was provided by the 3GStore, which would be an excellent source for the product.

Jack: Thanks for the review. I have been waiting for it. I am not going to throw my Cradlepoint 95 out, since it mostly does what I want and I have other uses for the money. But, I had the feeling the SOHO was a better product if I was making a recommendation today.

Thanks for the review. We just bought the WiFi Ranger Go and have been very happy with it, not sure I would have chosen anything different, but I guess every year or so we need to review and reconsider..
In regards to Jack's review I think it's an excellent review as always! I wanted to point out that existing SOHO users should upgrade to the latest 6.0.3 firmware here - http://download.peplink.com/firmware/fw-br1-6.0.3.zip
There was a bug on the previous firmware version that caused usage tracking to vanish if the unit was power cycled. The latest update will preserve data tracking if you turn the unit off or have a power outage.

I think I might be missing someting but I talked with Millenicom today and the rep said they do not use Verizon instead they use Sprint. Do you know if this is a change in Millenicom? The SOHO w/o the auto switcing ability of 3g/4g could be a issue with Sprint for their system does not have the 4G coverage that Verizon has. I enjoyed your article and learned alot for this is new to me...setting up a rv with wifi. Right now I have a 2yr contract with a smart phone with Verizon and can use the phone to get onto the internet and I'm thinking I could teather the Router to my Phone and than run our pc's, tablets and wireless printer if needed. The Millenicom service at 69.99/ month for 20gb is a better deal than my cell phone data plan. Thanks again for the article and any comments would be apprreciated for I can use all the help I can get.
The Millenicom plan with 20G for $70 and the Jetpack is on Verizon. The unlimited plan, and some others like BYOD are Sprint. The rep you talked to was probably thinking of those.
