Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I like a cold refrigerator and ours is 36 degrees at the coldest. Is that where it should be? Just wondering if I'm expecting to much. Our motorhome is an older one, 1994 Pace Arrow.
Normal safe temps for food is 36 to 40............freezing is 32.......you are perfect , if at that temp things feel warm, your A/C is set to high or you need to move to warmer areas of the country...

Where inside the reefer did you measure the temperature?
I like things cold and keep our Norcold at 33 degrees. During the day, when outside temps are higher it will warm to 36, but at night it will return to 33. We are at 6,000 feet elevation this summer and so far I haven't frozen anything. If we were at sea level I would try to keep the temp around 34-35 degrees. My sensor is on the top shelf, front of the shelf near the door. If I keep the fridge close to 32 then ice cream in the freezer stays hard.
We just had our Norcold replaced (under extended warranty) and I am still upset that I couldn't convince the warranty company to let me put in a residential unit. It would have been cheaper for them, but they would not budge.
