Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Cradlepoint has released 3.3.0 firmware for the CTR35, CBR400, CBR450 MBR95 and MBR1400. This firmware is designed to help optimize the 4G LTE and WiMAX connections as well as add features like "Bandwidth Monitoring and Alerts!"
I know that is a huge feature that a lot of people ask about and I'm happy they've finally implemented it. I'll probably be doing a demo sometime this week to show how the new features work, but you can find more info here - Cradlepoint 3.3.0 Firmware Released for NetBSD 3G/4G Routers
Below is a quick screengrab of the bandwidth setup settings:
I have a Cradlepoint 1000. Will never buy another. I kept trying to get it set up for the last 8 months, round after round after round. Cradlepoint told me to call Milleanicom, Milleanicom said to call Cradlepoint. Cradlepoint then said to call the seller, seller said to call Cradlepoint who then told me to call Milleanicom. I have been doing this dance since Jan (with a few months between each round). I have finally went to Walmart and purchased a zoom. It works great.

I am using a Cradlepoint MBR-1000 just fine with a Millenicom 760 modem on Verizon. I am running firmware 1.8.2 which also worked fine with a Verizon UM150 and a Virgin Mobile 760. I have had the MBR-1000 since March 2008 and it has been great. Right now I do not need the features of the newer Cradlepoint routers, but I would not hesitate to buy one.

It worked perfecttly with Verizon but the millenicom just blew me away and noone would help me. That is what got to me. Granted. I am not the smartest bird on the highwire but they would not even try to help. I have never experienced such fingerpointinng in my life. With the Zoom- I went to the router utilities, made a few adjustiments for the umb586( I think thats it, print is so small I can't read it.) and was connected.
I am really glad the Cradlepoint worked for you, but as for me....NONO NEVER NEVER
So did you sell the 1000? I've set up a LOT of 1000's and never had an issue related to an aircard. Not a single one. But then again I have never set up a Millenicom aircard... :(

I'm wondering if you ever tested the Millenicom card in a computer directly? It's very possible that the card was faulty and it had nothing to do with the router directly.
I just got a video uploaded showing how the new bandwidth feature works. I'm actually pretty impressed by how quickly it killed the connection based on my settings.
