Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I was determined to live the agrarian life style. Raise our own food, from the garden and with the animals. After 15 years of that I am ready to hit the road.
It is time to shift gears. I work in commercial construction. Travel has always been an option. However with our family split on the idea, it was not possible. Currently our family is now on the same page.
THE PLAN;
we Currently plan to buy a used Class C.
1/ Park it in the driveway with the intention on living in it there until it is road worthy. As problems come up we have the option then to retreat to the house. Effect repairs to our home on wheels, then move back in.
2/ some repairs I anticipate;
3/ remodel with the intention of boondocking.
We have enjoyed backpacking over the years, so living off grid in our Little Class C is a normal transition.
Just as a side note.
Most people outside of my immediate family think this is a terrible idea.

We are also planning on going full time sometime in the beginning of 2012. I can't even begin to tell you the comments we have heard. We are really looking forward to it. We have not made up our mind as to whether we want a Class C or A. We are going to the show in Hershey PA to look at what is out there and then buy a lottery ticket. Seriously, we have seen a used one that we like at White Horse RV near our home. Who knows, it might still be available when we are ready to buy. Have to sell the house first though. Things are looking up on that end as we are finishing up some minor changes. I doubt that it will be on the market too long.
Good luck to you and keep us posted as to how you are coming along.
