Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I'm not sure what the benefit would be aside from "unlimited" if that really is the case, as it's kind of hard to tell from their site. Sprint already offers unlimited 4G service, and 5GB in 3G. The other issues with dealing with a 3rd party carrier rather than the actual provider (Sprint in this case) is the fact that these relationships often change or plans get switched sometimes leaving customers in the dust. Especially "unlimited plans" which tend to go away as soon as people start abusing them. Remember Virgin Mobile Broadband? Also, tech support seems to lag behind as well since their support has to contact Sprint's support to get anything done. Just my opinion after seeing many of these come and go over the years.
As a general rule, most RVers would agree that Verizon is a better choice anyway, as their national coverage in rural areas is better than anyone else. While Sprint is probably #2, Verizon still a better move for RVers unless you need it in a very specific area that Sprint happens to have better coverage. Verizon also seems to be rolling out 4G much faster (they have a lot more $$) than Sprint even though Sprint had a year or so head start. Verizon's 4G LTE technology is what everyone is going forward with, rather than Sprint's 4G Wimax. Do I recommend Sprint to certain types of customers? Absolutely. Just not to 95% of RVers.
That said, I would love to hear anyones experiences with TW!
I just killed my last account with Time Warner (home internet.) After having been a customer for over 20 years. My biggest grip with them is that they are all about getting new customers -- offering great deals to get you to sign on -- and then continually increasing rates after that. Whatever happened to rewarding loyalty???
Okay, enough of that! I'm with Steve, I don't see a reason to go through TW to get a Sprint supported service. Go directly to Sprint. I believe you can get the same or a better deal by going directly to Sprint.
We currently have Sprint and have been happy so far. My big brother who is a long distance truck driver uses Verizon for phone and air card and is happy with them.
I'd check coverage maps and see who is best for where you plan to be.
