Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

baking bread in mic/convection?

Does anyone have a Contoure Convection Grill microwave/convection oven and do you bake bread in it? I have a class C and have somehow misplaced or lost the little manual that came with the mic/convection oven. I am thinking I could perhaps bake my own bread, since most store-bought, even the most expensive, bread seems to be the quality of wasp nests.
I've thought of getting a breadmaker, but they are heavy and probably wouldn't fit anywhere in the rig.
Any information is welcome.

See if this is the manual you are looking for.

We've baked bread and everything else you would bake, in our Sharp convection microwave without any problems. We have found, with ours at least, that there is no reason to change the temperature or baking time.

Works wonderfully though.

Thank you! It's exactly what I need and I have downloaded it. Maybe homemade bread will result!
Freedom from wasp nest bread!
Again, you're a champ!
Thanks.

Bill Adams or Roll Me Away,

Please repost the Contoure microwave convection oven manual -- we just purchased a used RV and it didn't come with this manual -- thanks...

This Post has nothing to do with Ovens and baking.

And I don't mean to hi-jack the subject, but I noticed that keithmaryq have just become members of this site today. I was somewhat taken with the handle (names) because my parents (both deceased now) names were Keith & Mary. Just saying !

 Keith and Mary,

First of all, welcome to the RV Dreams forums.  Glad to have you.

You might get an answer from Roll Me Away, but not likely from Bill Adams.  This thread is almost 4 years old and Bill hasn't been on the forums since 2012.  Roll Me Away was last on back in October, so you might still hear from them.

When asking questions of people in old threads, check their profile page by clicking on their username to see when they last accessed the forum.  That date would be the last date that they actually logged in.  You can check the date of the post/thread by looking below the username and avatar in the section at the left of the post.

Well "IF" they are watching over you folks, they have double duty. We are very new to the rv scene & we are FT'rs also.

Actually my Dad used his middle name "Keith" because his first name was biblical " Jephthah" and it was difficult to explain when he was boy. Mother was all ways referred to as "Mary Jane". And so goes the family history.

Welcome or as I normally say Howdy Howdy, keithmaryq,

Since you folks are new to the site, you can often find out something about the folks who have commented on the various threads. I think, the RV Dreams moderator "Terry and Jo " mentioned this in their welcome. You can click on their "handle or name" and possibly get an idea of who folks are and where their from. IF they have completed their bio...on the sign up portion ! I often do this... it seems to create more of a family feeling. You must be signed-in, if you intend to comment or check-out the bio... . Hope you will enjoy RV Dreams.

Want to thank heyduke for the bread recipes. I fixed the Focaccia last night to go with an oxtail stew, it turned out perfect, and I haven't made homemade bread in probably 30 years. The only problem was that my onions on top burned a little bit, but the top and bottom both browned up nice.  Can't wait to try the Everything Bagels.

I would post a picture, but don't know how to do that.

Ann
