Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Trouble

I have a aircard from Sprint and it is a 3G.  When I was using it new software was downloaded online and since then it will not work.  I took my PC and the aircard to Sprint and was told it was a PC issue so I went to Best Buy and the PC expert told me that it was a aircard issue.  Back I went to Sprint who once again told me that it was a PC issue.  Back to Best Buy expert who was unable to help.  Now I have the aircard and am unable to use it.  Can you help me?

A couple months ago I tried to switch to a USB Sprint 3G aircard from my older Sprint 3G aircard. For some reason I the software would never allow it to work. It connected, but would only go to 1 website. After taking it to the Sprint store and their working on it, I eventually returned it and went back to my old card. Back in business.

My suggestion is to try a different Sprint store. I would go to one of their affiilated dealers. I've had much better luck with them than the official Sprint stores.

Good luck

I had a similar problem once and the driver for the old driver was still in add/remove programs. I had to uninstall both the card driver and software and then install the new software to get running again. add/remove is in control panel, scan through the list.

What type of computer are you using and what error are you getting? As Bjoyce said, verify that all the components have been removed from the previous version. On a Mac you'll need to go into system preferences -----> Network and remove device driver and on a Windows PC you'll want to go into your device manager and verify that the driver for the modem has been uninstalled.

After verifying all the components including Smartview have been uninstalled, reinstall everything and plug in the modem. You should be able to connect without any issue. Have you thought about getting a Cradlepoint router and bypassing the software completely?
