Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Well, it's official. For those that can't make the 2010 RV-Dreams Rally in Myrtle Beach in April and don't want to wait until 2011, Linda & I will be doing several seminars at an RV conference put on by the RV Safety & Education Foundation (RVSEF).
This is an educational conference that is set up much like the former Life On Wheels conferences. There are two and a half days with over 60 one-hour courses presented by several professional speakers including Nick Russell (Gypsy Journal), Gary Bunzer (RV Doctor), and Jim & Chris Guld (Geeks On Tour).
From the RVSEF website:
The Recreation Vehicle Safety & Education Foundation presents a unique educational Conference for consumers. This RV Industry sponsored Conference will be a positive, networking opportunity with Industry Experts in classroom, roundtable, as well as one-on-one discussions, that will focus on providing current and potential RV owners more knowledge to:
properly and safely operate RVs
understand the various types of RVs and how they may fit individuals’ specific needs
have the confidence to more fully enjoy all that RVing has to offer.
By the end of the Conference participants will:
Better understand the operation and maintenance requirements of RVs and RV systems
Have explored various insurances, warranties, and roadside assistance options available
Have learned how to select the correct type of RV for their needs and budgets
Have been introduced to various RV lifestyle enhancements to expand their RV usage and fun
Have the opportunity to establish and develop camaraderie with fellow RVers
Be given the opportunity to complete the “RVSEF Driving Program” and receive a certificate of completion for a possible Insurance Discount through their insurance provider
Additionally, participants that choose will be presented with opportunities to receive an RV safety inspection, get their RV weighed for comparisons to component and vehicle ratings, and experience RV hands-on driving instruction.
Here are a few more details:
Registration Fee:
$225 per person (10% discount for registrations received before March 1, 2010)
Registration Fee includes:

Of course we want you all to attend our RV-Dreams Rallies which have a more social, family-type theme throughout the rally in addition to educational seminars. :)
But if you can't make it to one of our rallies, we certainly encourage you to take advantage of the opportunity provided at the RVSEF Lifestyle, Education & Safety Conference. Click on the link, check out the schedule, courses, and instructors, and we look forward to seeing you there!
For those attending the conference, please post in this thread so we know who to look for and how many RV-Dreamers will be there.

We'll be there. In addition to our Internet, Picasa, and blogging seminars. ... we're also presenting GPS navigation and email issues on the road. Hope to see some RV Dreamers there. Jim and I look forward to hanging out with you a bit!
