Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I am terribly negligent with userid and password cautions, and have heard a lot lately about KeePass being able to safely manage passwords. I looked at their website and it is more technical than I want to get into. I thought I would ask if anyone on the forum uses it (or something like it), and particularly Mac users. Also, is it fairly simple to install and use? I've been using the same userid and password for everything for years, with some slight variations, and it's probably time I do something about it - at least change my password to something totally different. But I don't want to get into a situation where I can't access websites because I can't figure out the geek-speak of a program such as KeePass. Thanks for any help/advice, especially from Mac folks.

It's supposedly quite good. I'm like you though, I pretty much use the same names and passwords for everything except my financial sites, where I try to be a little more careful.
Maybe I should just let well enough alone. Like Fred, my online banking has a different password (that I should probably change once in a while, but then I would forget it as it is the one I don't have written down).

I used RoboForm for years and it worked fine; but it is a far less program compared to Last Pass!!!!
I have been using a free program called LastPass for almost a year now and it is by far the best password manager ever. You only have to remember one password for the rest of your life; it generates all passwords and even logs you in automatically when you are on your personal computer. When you use a public computer (shared computer), you simply log into their website with your browser and log out when finished. The program works great with Firefox and Internet Explorer and others. You can also download a free plug-in for your home computer and it even gives you more free services. Nothing else compares to this program and I highly recommend it to all of my friends.
