Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Our realtor just called and we are going to have on offer on our house on Monday!!!!! It's been on the market for 14 months. It's a good offer too. I am so excited. We need to decide on an RV now, but YAY!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to get started.
Hope it is a sale for you, congratulations. We were FSBO for 4 months with little luck and just listed with realtor last friday.May your good luck be ours. See you on the road.

Thanks for all your support, this is such a nerve wracking experience. I'm not leaving my house today until the offer comes through.
NorCal- We got denied for Luke AFB and Beale AFB. They don't need any Staff Sgts there right now. It looks like we might be staying here in Florida for a while. That's ok though, it's not bad here. I'm tired of the warm weather though, I really miss fall. If we do put in for somewhere else we are looking at around North and South Carolina. We were stationed in South Carolina before we came here and my bil and sil are in North Carolina, so we would be close to them.

Thanks for that, we need a fifth wheel with a bunk house though (we have two kids). We already traded my hubby's Mustang for a Dodge 3500 to pull it with. We talked about getting a motorhome after the kids are gone and my hubby is retired. Then we won't need two vehicles. His retirement is only a short 14 years away. :)
We are just about ready to put ours on the market and it is really scary. I hope we don't end up dumping it. But we are very anxcious to get on the road.
I hope everything worked out today.

It hasn't. We are still waiting and it looks like it won't be here until tomorrow. But I'm done worrying about it until then.
We are going to look at some RV's Thursday. We've found one we like. It's a 2004 Fleetwood Regal. We are planning on really making it ours. Paint, new floors, cabinet pulls, etc.... I don't want a new one. This one is a great price and will work really well for us.
The offer came in!!!!!!!! She wants to close on November 3!!!!!!!! We need to get really busy in getting rid of our stuff. TV, TV stand, washer and dryer, bar stools, beds, dressers and couch. I think that is all the big stuff we have left to get rid of. We still have some small junk left too. Oh yeah, our kids swing set needs to go too.
I'm starting to get more nervous now. A month isn't very long. I was expecting closer to two months to get this done. I am going to make our last mortgage payment on our house tomorrow. Wow!!!!!! I'm kinda in a daze at this moment.
How exciting..I hope when we decide to put ours on the market it goes quickly.
I hope it does for you too. Ours took 14 months, but if it had sold right away, we wouldn't have even considered RV'ing. So we were blessed that it didn't. We see that now, but during the last 14 months it didn't make sense.
excellent news. have you thought of offering some of your furnishings to the new buyers, maybe some stuff they would like. might be a win-win for both of you if the price is right...
Congratulations on your sale. We recently sold our house as well, and the stuff that Family and Friends couldn't use we sold through "Craig's List" in just a couple of days.
Good Luck on your RV purchase and maybe we will cross paths someday. We are retiring in January and then going to begin our full-timing adventure.
Congratulations and good luck with the downsizing. Our house is sold and we have downsized to a small condo (renting) and I still have stuff to get rid of. I think having a deadline would help, it is so easy to put off. I wish you the best on your new adventure.
