Since we just got the Montana in March, we still use it. We did have a 2002 Cedar Creek we bought it 2007. Had original bedspread and it was in perfect condition. We could tell from the condition of everthing the unit that the previous owners did not use it much.

We still use ours and wash it ...it shows "Machine Washable"

It works well and matches the curtains and pillows in the bedroom area. We only use it as a bed spread.

We bought a northern Nights down comforter from QVC to use in the winter and one of the microfiber blankets from Beds, Bath & Beyond to use in the summer.

We stay nice and cozy no matter how hot or cold the weather.

Don't feel bad, I did the same thing. Because the rv was used, I automatically washed everything and the bedspread came out looking just fine, no melting or bunching. It wasn't until afterward that I realized it was dry clean only. Several weeks later when I caught the dogs playing on the bed, I decided it would be best to pack it away so that in the event we sell the rig, the comforter would be in good condition.

However, all is not lost. I now have a "project" LOL! I decided to replace the backing with washable backing. It was/is just a matter of carefully cutting off the old backing and sewing on large squares of the new backing.

After buying our 5-wheel I took one look at the bedspread and decided to start looking for something else.  It was light beige and I knew this was never going to stay clean for long.  I found a reversible quilt at Canton First Monday.  I love it and can be washed.

Even though we bought a new Fifth Wheel we decided to change alot of the items that come standard with any RV. We recovered the headboard, replaced the bed spread, recovered the window valances and removed the ukie border that ran throughout. We even removed the sofa and bought something we liked better. We are soon going to replace the two recliners. If it is going to be our home we want it to look like a home and not like all the other RV's. It was really fun making the changes.

We tossed the ugly, ugly bedspread and fancy pillow covers that came with our coach.  Life is too short to have to put those stupid pillow covers on every day. (Ithink they are called shams.  Look up the word.  It fits).

My wife picked out a bedspread she likes,  and the pillow cases blend with the colors in the bedspread.  Sure simplifes everday living.  We don't expect to entertain Martha anytime soon. The bed looks fine without the sham of having shams.  

I just took the original spread off the bed and stored it in one of those big ZipLockstorage bags along with the decorative pillows that came with the rig. If we should ever trade in our 5ver for a larger model, I'll have the spread to leave in the rig.

Couldn't even give mine storage space. They looked like they came from the carnival or something so I took them off, along with the pillows and shams, and handed them to the salesman. Told him they could use them to "stage" another coach. Brown comforter for now but will replace once the sticker shock wears off.

Our Cedar Creek has the same pattern on the valances, curtains and bedspread and I hate them all! Can't convince hubby yet to let me change the curtains or valances, but I did buy a beautiful duvet at Wal_Mart of all places. Doesn't match anything, but I don't care. We're not fulltiminng yet,s o I don't see it all that often anyway.

in the bedroom i painted the walls and redid the valances myself. we are in the process of paying a pro to revamp the closet. we also took out the tv for more storage. after the first of the year i an going to take out the dinette set and replace it with cabinets and a sideboard with 2 dining chairs and an exstention with folding chairs so it will seat four when needed. i am also going to paint the walls and redo the valences in the main area of the mh. i am leaving the daynight blinds alone until they get yucky then we will figure out something else. maybe dual rollar shades with one being blackouts.
it will be my fulltime home soon and why leave it "builder grade" when i can make it mine.
and no i am not a big handy person but if you go slow and figure it out, it can mostly be done without pro help
oh and we removed the sink in the bedroom and made a laundry hamper!

We (wife) with my cheerleading, changed out the bedspread with a handmade quilt and all the curtains and valances.
She bought curtain panels (the blackout kind) from a discount store and did a fine job sewing them to make them fit the way we wanted...ie...a bit longer and fuller.
This winter she is making curtains that will fit the windows that are built into the two entry doors.
I like it dark when I sleep but also bright during the day. Mission accomplished on the windows...just pull the curtains open during the day and let the sun shine in.
