Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We have 4 and use all but one of them. The one in the galley is a waste to us. However, if you travel with kids you can play movies while traveling to keep them entertained. The main TV upfront will not play while the engine is running. The bedroom TV also has a DVD player, so we use that one a lot. The outside TV is nice when the weather is good and you want to watch something, like the big game. Just remember that they all take up valuable space, so choose wisely.
We had three that originally came with our coach, a Fleetwood Revolution 40'. We got rid of all of them as they were so big, bulky and heavy. We have never used a TV in our bedroom, that is for other things. We've replaced the one over the windshield with a new Sony Bravia and had the headbanger cabinet remodeled. That's the only one we find we need now as we'd rather be outside doing things instead of affixed to the tube.
Have 4, two inside and one outside plus one in the truck. Use all 4.
Plus often carry a portable DVD player with 7" screen to watch DVDs while away from the rig. Like when waiting for my wife while she shops.
Used to like to read books, but we have my Dad with us so we keep him entertained by watching TV, something both of us can do together. Hard to find the time to read books anymore and take care of him.

We have one TV in the "living room/kitchen/dining room" and we have a portable DVD player. We hardly use the TV unless its raining outside....although I was glued to it 24/7 during the elections. I occasionally use the TV or portable DVD for watching movies or doing workout videos. One is enough for us.
Hi, We have one TV in our rig, and when we started on the road, we decided not to get anything like DirectTV until we saw if and how much we missed TV. We actually like not having so many TVs and channels - we read more, play games, etc.... We do hook into cable when it's free at a campground, but other than that, the antenna works fine, and when it doesn't, well, we find plenty of books along the way!
Of course, you (all of us) need to do what make each of us happy. If you want 3 or 4 TVs, then who are any of us to say otherwise? And I'm sure some Sunday, when there's a football game on ESPN and Brad (husband) can't watch it, he'll be watching one of your TVs.
