Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
This morning there was an article in the Ft Worth Star Telegram about Waggin" Train Chicken Jerky Tenders, made by ADI Pets Inc, being dangerous for pets. It said it causes kidney problems and is sold at Walmart and Sam's Club. This link has some info about this treat. Just wanted people to be alert to this.

I gingerly approach this one, mostly to avoid a panic from misunderstanding. I am a dog lover and former owner and I like to be factually pragmatic too. I am not rendering an opinion or otherwise making any other suggestions on the OP, but please be careful of what you read on the web (or anywhere else) and to keep things in context.
The newspaper article mentioned (re-published in Nov2007) can be seen on the newspaper’s web site www.star-telegram.com where the issue was overfeeding, not contamination, albeit during the contamination alert times.

Overfeeding jerky treats may pose danger DIANE C. LADE South Florida Sun-Sentinel Consumers buying chicken jerky pet treats soon may notice something different on the package labels: suggestions on how many such snacks a day they can safely give to their dogs. Some manufacturers and retailers, responding to complaints that Chinese-made treats were making dogs sick, are developing feeding instructions tailored to an animal's weight, similar to what is required on pet foods designed to be a primary nutrition source. The move is based on anecdotal reports that...

The link in the OP is to an online forum, not the newspaper, which, like even this forum, might contain material which you should do your own due diligence on. Forums contain opinion and seldom provide scientific basis. Again, I am not making any assertions, just advancing pragmatism and prudence. Then again, that's just my opinion!
