Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Will be cooking for 120 people.

Our church provides meals at our church to people in a local Homeless shelter, a drug/alcohol facility and a residence for at risk boys. A couple in the church has been heading this up for 3 years with help from a lot of us. However, last week they got mad about something and pulled out. So..... duties were divided with those of us who could be there that day (most can't as they have other plans) - I will head up the kitchen and do most of the cooking. Thankfully the turkeys will be cooked by members and brought to me.

My younger daughter who is 39 will come help before and after she has dinner at her fathers. Other daughter goes to her in-laws.

We will get through this!

Bless you, Phyllis and Leanord

. . . for stepping up and into the kitchen!  For five years, I was priviledged to serve as Chair of the Salvation Army Advisory Board in Savannah.  Each Turkey Event (Thanksgiving and Christmas Days) I assisted on the serving line for well over 200 people.

That was a blessing to me to see the appreciation from others.

I am sure somehow He will get you through it, and you will be blessed by the day!  When everyone checks their ego at the door, everything runs smoother in volunteer situations.

Ill have to say that we were not that giving. We did have some wonderful Thanksgivings with family for many years. This year we will be going out to eat with our oldest son. It is much easier on my DW to go out than it is to have her cook. We will leave all the dishes for someone else to clean up. I hope that all our family here at RV Dreams have a safe Thanksgiving.

I'll be at the SKP park in Hollister, MO (assuming that I can get a spot there when I arrive tomorrow afternoon)....plan to stay a week, maybe a bit more. If there is anything going on at the park, I'll do that, otherwise it'll be a turkey sandwich. <g>

We are having our 3 adult children, spouses and 3 grandchildren for dinner at our campsite on the beach in Ca.  DH will be deepfat frying the turkey outside,  I will be making stovetop stuffing. (easy but so good) and kids will be bringing everything else.  Bought paper plates and napkins today.  Sounds good and easy to me !!!!  We'll be thankful to be together without all the fuss.
Brenda
Just made some very easy chocolate muffins that were very good,  also reduced calorie and fat.  Mix 1 box chocolate cake mix (dry) with regular size can of pumpkin.  NOTHING ELSE !!!!!  Put in muffin papers or greased tin and bake at 350 for approx.20 minutes.smile
