Does anyone know of a decently priced RV park in the Fort Myers are for the month of March? We're supposed to meet up with my sister and her husband who have rented a condo there but I'm not paying $1000+. The cheapest I've found is $670 but haven't checked to see if there is space availability yet. Just wondering if anyone is there and if they can help. Personally, I'd rather stay in Texas!

Sandra,
It may be hard to find a space in March. Your best bet is to go through one of the campground directories and check the ratings and their prices and then start calling or go on line if they have a website. We live in Naples, but have never stayed at any of the private campgrounds around Ft. Myers. From what I know, most of the nice campgrounds charge $800 or more per month until April 1 when they drop.
We like the Corps of Engineers campground at W.P. Franklin Locks about 15 miles east of Ft. Myers. However, it's relatively small with just water and electric hookups and a dump station. It's usually full until after Easter, but you might check it out. I think they have a 14 day limit.
Good luck.

Sandra,
It will be tough finding a reasonable spot in Southwest Florida for March. It becomes a little easier in the last half of the month, but it's still tough.
Last year we were able to use the Sun Communities special for first-time visitors in the Lake San Marino Resort in Naples. We stayed the month of March for $250! ($189 special plus a $61 resort fee).
There are three Sun Communities RV Parks in Ft. Myers and all have the $189 first-timer specials. However, the website says the special is not good in March. Still, I would call all three just to see. It never hurts to ask - if they won't bend the rules, they might offer you a deal you could live with.
