Linda, have enjoyed lots of the pictures of birds, butterflies, etc., but have not noticed any entry on your putting up your hummingbird feeder. While in Anza Borreago, CA. last winter, we had just set up and were sitting, resting a bit, when we had our first visit of a hummer. She flew away, giving us a minute to get some food out, I guess. We hurried right in, got the feeder ready and out and she came back, stayed for days. Of course, she was diffrent from our ruby throated that we have here in Georgia, but beautiful in a diffrent way.

We are in Ohio and we still own an industrial building here. This past summer we had a Hummingbird come into the building and couldn't get it to fly out. I finally had to catch it in my fishing net and once I got my hand on it, it acted like it was tame (probably a natural response to protect itself) it sat in my open hand for several minutes and climbed into my wifes hand so I could take pictures and finally flew away. 2 days later same thing happened again! Seldom do we see a hummingbird around here and then we have to catch 2 of them in 2 days.
