We are planning the week of Christmas in the Austin area with family. Any campgrounds with good access to the RoundRock Leander area you would recommend?
Thanks for your input in advance.

There are not many options in the area so we are going to try Eastview RV Ranch in Georgetown which is relatively new park for the week of Christmas. Too much activity planned in Round Rock and Leander to go with the COE which doesn't have a sewar hookup. We will let you know how it works out.

10 days ago, we stayed at the New Life RV park in Georgetown. Very nice place, 50 amp full hook ups at $24 per night.

Sorry we I can't give you any information on Ausitn RV Parks. We live just South of Austin(Buda) but when we travel it is always away from here.
We have been south, east and west. But we have yet to go anywhere north of Austin. Good luck, I would suggest Bastrop S.P. or Inks Lake S.P., however both are about 30-40 miles out of town and it will be a little bit of a drive.

Well Eastview RV in Georgetown is a nice gravel RV park for spending a week to visit friends and family. It was inexpensive with the weekly rate and the owner operators are very accomodating and friendly. Our youngsters were in an out and some stayed over for a night or two and we worked it out without a hassle. Lots of room and plenty of parking. We will use it again.

This topic is old, but thought I would add to this topic.
We stayed for a whole month at the San Gabriel River RV Park in Georgetown. We paid $285 for a month + electric. Electric came out to be about $30 for the COLD month, we used the electric heater all the time while there.
This is a real rual park with the San Gabriel River in the back lot, and the San Gabriel Park just a couple of miles to the west....very wonderful Rv Park, will be back there again.

RvParkReviews.com or AllStays.com have some good suggestions. I'm not familiar with the Austin or Georgetown area.

I realize that Jay and Jill have posted on a very old thread, but since the original post was about the Austin, Round Rock, and Georgetown area, I am presuming that they are referring to the area in Texas.

I know this is a very old thread but seeing the title of the thread I thought some new "lookers" may stop by. We are from Georgetown and will be staying at this park for a while. We are on the waiting list to get a spot but we already have met several people staying there when we have taken our drives through there checking things out. Ended up on one coupes little porch drinking coffee for 3 hours. As we were leaving we found out they were celebrating their 11th anniversary...I giggled and said we had them beat and told them we were on 31 years...they then informed us that they had both been married over 50 years before each other. It sets on the San Gabriel river which has plenty of fish in it for fishing. The park even has a fish cleaning station and off leash dog park. It also has raised vegetable garden beds for the residents to plant in. Downtown Georgetown is maybe 5 min away. It's a very charming town square with nice shops and wineries. Great mexican food at Dos Salsas. Beware starting on Fridays around 4 it get crowded and stays that way through Sunday. Georgetown has ALOT of hiking trails and plenty of deer for your enjoyment. You are only about 30 minutes from downtown Austin and 45 to the minutes to the beautiful hill country with scattered wineries. Just maybe we will run into one of you there...Our plan is to be there June 1st
