Hi,
Our Ford F350 rides fairly well when we're towing, but is a ROUGH ride when we're out and about without the trailer, and that's more than half our total mileage. I've already lowered the pressure in the front tires and that's helped a little, but I'm sitll not happy.
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with air ride seats in a pickup. They are fairly expensive and I am hesitant to spring for them without some endorsements.
Any recommendations?
Thanks,
Fred

Fred, not exactly the same but I have a Chevy 4500 with all leaf springs and it rode really ROUGH! Desperate I decided to spring for the air seats, WOW what a difference. Cost me about $2300 for the seats and air compressor but well worth it. Still there is a bumpy ride and you can't do much about it but the seats cushion it. You really know it is helping when you go over a bump and you feel the seat compress. I am 100% glad I spent the money.

We also have a Kodiak 4500 and it has Air Ride seats and Link Air ride suspension and our 4500 rides great. We had a 3500 1 ton dually, it had a very harsh ride when on the interstate systems (Concrete divider's). We were in the process of having a Link air ride suspension installed when we found the factory that upgrades RV TV in Elkhart Ind. So since we have a heavy 5th wheel we decided to trade for the Kodiak 4500. Just having Air ride seats will make the ride a lot different. Try a Google search for Air ride seats, you will get there. Good Luck... Tmcblane like your web site..... GBY......
