We've decided against a toy hauler for our future full-time home that would have allowed us to carry our motorcycle (only 500 lb.)  primarily because of space/storage limitations. We know Excel makes a great product and they warranty the use of the fifth wheel for carrying a motorcycle if you have the back end "beefed up" by the factory.  But, they are a little out of our price range for a 34' or larger.  We would prefer something in the $55,000-$60,000 range.  Does anyone have experience carrying their motorcycle on the back of their fiver and if so, what problems/solutions does it present?  Thanks for any help!

Just a comment about the Excel trailers. Have you looked for a used one? We found a little used 35' LKO Limited 2002 with about every option and were able to purchase for under 50,000. Also they are built with a 2x10 box frame and don't require any beefing up of the rear end for the addition of the motorcycle carrier. You might check out the sport carrier II from Blue Ox. 

We are keeping our eyes open for a newer used one and actually have Kay at RV Sales in Moriatry, NM (great folks, by the way) scanning the country for one.  The problem is they are difficult to find.  People either hold on to them because of how well-built they are plus they don't produce as many of them as some companies.  But, we'll keep trying.  Just found out,too, through a little research that all Hitchhikers are rated to carry up to 500 lb.  Since our bike isn't a large one, one of those might work as well and they are a little easier to find....at least, in Colorado.  Thanks for the suggestion!
